  • i hope im not put on life support in YOUR hospital

  • I had a hard time picking my jaw off the floor.

  • Push someone in there....I dare you!

  • I don't get it? It looks fine to me

  • i'm guessing the guy knows where every cable is going. :-D

  • Cluster fuck.

  • Their MCSE's wired it up, because they're computer experts...

  • Somewhere in that building I guarantee a 20amp breaker has been replaced with a 50amp....

  • Made in China

  • Looks like my schools server lmao on the last day one of my friends ran in and unplugged all the cables

  • The close up of that socket switch, controlling the whole critical system, is epic

How did they get that 16+ socket plugboard (if it is)?

  • o nice power strip in the floor... "Oops. hit the switch. my bad" lol

  • holy shit.

  • I've seen worse...

  • Cleaner: 'Oh, look at that power switch.. Can't Resist Turning Switch Off**'. Next morning: 'Check all cables, there might be a wire mallfunction!'.. Hours later: 'Oh.. it was the switch..'. O.o

  • that's art. the man who wired it is a genius

  • Probably looked after by a single admin, who is over worked, lacks a supportive workplace, and fights to get some headway in an ever growing workload. Seen it all before. Easy to blame an individual.

  • This is how my dad says it is at Google. He works for them.

  • government style big time

  • Wow incredible all that off a single phase outlet.

  • looks like us before we rebuild the data center room. thank god APC went on our way

  • 1plugboard into another plug board like 4 times, thats bad, then the wireing you'll have no clue whcih one broke

  • holy shite

  • This is why the NHS needed to spend £5,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 on new computers.

  • LOL try to defuse that kind of bomb.

  • Not the worst I've seen.

  • Good thing you took pics. Sometimes the customer tries to blame the consultant. I had an issue with a RAID array going down maybe 3 times in 3 months. On the third trip we took cameras.

Customer had Windows open at the time, with rain coming in on server box. Also we found bus stop below the window and diesel fumes coming up and "scumming over the discs". Needless to say no new Raid discs for customer!

  • Simply OMFG

  • I worked a situation like this before - the 15-foot-wide rack looked like someone had slit its belly and all its entrails had spilled out on the floor.

It pisses me off to this day to think about the freaking lazy bastards who let it get like that in the first place.

  • Cripes...

  • Another world crisis waiting to occur.. Just waiting.

  • so much inductance...just so much.

  • dam all on one cable electric and without apc battery its clear its will surely happen

  • don't worry i sorted it all out..i made the vid before we started work..we moved all the systems to a cluster we had setup specifically for this..then stripped the racks down. started with the power supplies and UPS..and then finally network cabling..all nicely tucked in, color coded and using ties..so its all good now..at least when i left it was all good lol

  • @zeeat Yeah, but 3 years have passed. I am sure it is just like it was only with newer equipment by now.

  • Dam this could end up in a real mess if someone was to trip on any of the very freely moving power wires and on a more serius level they may get electricuted as them power sources are largely over-loaded. They need a proper cable and power managment speacilist to come in to sort out that data centres wire and power issues out. THIS WILL KILL SOMEONE IF IT REMAINS LIKE THIS

  • :D i wonder when somebody flips that switch. That's what I call redundancy :D

  • Looks like the server room at google HQ

  • o my god this is not the way for cable managment specialy for hospital, i have arranged my data centre from a big mess to a neat and nice place with big log hours of effort thank god

  • its a server jungle out there

  • Hmmm wot the f***

that what i called cable management

  • can you say... clusterfuck?

  • well at least we know those servers are bullet proof... lol

  • very bad, bad bad bad......

  • I am an old fashion Telco guy. I knew that there was going to be trouble as soon as I met my first IT guy and saw the mess they create. Now that telecoms has gone the way of IT and computer wizards have taken over, this is the result. IP technologies have no discipline. The end is nigh!

  • WHAT!?!?!?!

  • lol

  • OMFG !!!!! i can`t belive in this...

  • OMG like how dangerus c an u get its probly gonna beome to much load and theres to much heat from the servers being traped by the wires... wow i cant belive its not burning or melting or shuting down

  • My small company is the fastest growing locally. Neatness counts on some areas. haha

  • hang on a minute... its 230 volts, each server hauls at least 2000w (say 700w*3 power supplies)

our UK plugs do NOT output 50 amp, they output 13 amp.

    2000w*5 servers = 1000w

    10000w

    ----------- = 43.47amps at least

    230 v

if these use any load at all they are fucked...

im not sure how old these servers our they could be using tiny power supplies but all that off 26amps is just fucking stupid, not dangerous

  • I'm sure this is running the heart-lung machines. That's why the guy is kicking the power strips around.

  • what if all the servers went down EVERY SINGLE ONE EVER? that would suck ass =P

  • Hasn't the disaster happened yet???

  • Sadly, I've seen worse....

  • lol @ all the extension leads xD

  • Are they fucking insane?!?!?!?! why hasn't the circuit tripped yet???

  • Because it's a 50amp 240 Single phase outlet. Either they are in Europe or they wired all their utility panels for 240... Either way its still a disaster... There is no airflow in those cabinets

  • lmao, who wired that up? stevie wonder?

  • Wow. Between all the spaghetti, power strips, and ad hoc crap, I'll bet somebody could sneeze and take down the network. =D

  • plugged to a power strip?!

  • Epic Fail

  • Ow wow. Where is this???

  • Somewhere in England

  • hahaha, I give it a year until someone says

    "The network is down"

"Yeah i knocked out a cable"

    "Which one??"

    "..The green one..."

    lol.

  • England doesnt take much care with there computer systems. One PC was sold on ebay not so long ago loaded with a banks data on customers. lol

  • dont forget the hundreds of laptops which are pinched with all our social security stuff on and national insurance numbers, and prisioner information! LOl

  • LOL!

  • my goodness!!!
