Sundin has the most points in out of all swedish born Forward postion players. More then Alfredsson, Naslund, or Forsberg. That is why i said Sundin is the wayne Gretzky for Sweden

So random to have Mats Sundin with Gretzky. They never played in any playoff series against each other and were always in different conferences except from 94-96. It's really only because Sundin was a Leaf and this was made in Canada that he's there at all. If they'd wanted to stick a player who truly dominated at the time then Jagr, Lindros, Forsberg or Kariya would've been in it (sorry Mats fans, but he wasn't in their company back then even if he was excellent). Funny commercial nonetheless.

one of the most consistent players in the league at his time. also holds the record for the longest scoring streak in nhl history, at 30 games. he was mr. consistency

and the only linemates he ever had on the leafs who were of equal calibre were Gilmour and Mogilny.

Mats Sundin may have been a European and 'soft swede' but you can not deny that he was a class act. Sure he may not have had the intensity of a Dougie Gilmour or Wendel Clark as captain of the Maple Leafs but he tried.I think the last era of Leafs Hockey was left with Mats. There is no passion anymore in Toronto its just a rebuilding team. This is exactly what happened to the Blue Jays after their back to back world series titles. Unlike Gretzky Mats did not have the talent to back him up..
