I do agree that they are amazing, but they just aren't post rock.

They do have a little post rock influence, but they most certainly are not a post rock band. you do seem to know some good PR bands, so i'm not sure why you think this is PR...

It is clearly progressive, avent-garde, style of folk metal with tendencies of Black Metal, neofolk, and doom metal. With a hint of Post rock...;) (how many bands can you say that about???)

It does not matter the genre, in MUSIC what REALLY MATTERS is the mixture between the FEELING and the TECHNIQUE, and Agalloch is one of the better bands becuase they really can create sincere atmospheres according to what they execute
