@ventilator98 carter was given an ultimatum to either go to rehab and his co workers would support him and there would be a job for him when he returned or if he didnt go to rehab he would be fired peter eventually talked carter into going to rehab convincing him he didnt want to end up like his cousin.... at the end of this episode he leaves to go to rehab and in like the 3rd or 4th episode of season 7 he returns back to work under strict supervision

@bhstone1 He was addicted, that's the point. He wouldn't show them his scars under his watch. He later went to that clinic in Atlanta.
