I've heard people say that LotRO's a WoW-rip off, guild wars-rip off and Line Age 2-rip off. Well, it's hard to make a completly original game in the MMORPG-genre, but seriously. SWG? They are not alike to each other at all. Comparing LoRO and SWG to each other is like saying that an apple and a banana is the same fruit.
Though, saying a game is a rip off of another is wrong as well. Think about it. How many football/racing-games are there out there that are almost the same game?
I agree thats its hard to make a 100 % original MMORPG game, but if just comparing crating bands etc. SWG is just the same. Btw in the most football games you play with the same rules, no difference but you cant say they're rip off's becouz its sport games.

person1259, if you bought a lute, you equip it, then you type /music in the chat, and when you press number 1 to 8, it will play music, you also can hold shift and play the numbers, have fun :)

MUSIC is getting 2 new instruments, 12 more notes [will be 36 in all] SUSTAINABLE notes, and the ability to write an entire song and play it at the touch of a button [ASCII code in macro]. Sweetness. BTW -- One thing to love about this game, 80% of players are role playing. Gotta love it.

This game > WoW! Great community, Great Quests, Great Plots, Great Graphics, Great Game. WoW is losing its population every day, wont be surprised that once the next gen MMOs come out the 8 million population will decrease greatly.

Too bad you didn't notice this game earlier, those who preordered the game got a great pricing deal - everyone else gets regular monthly price. Sorry I can't link to it, it was in game and I don't have it recorded. I happened to be passing by and had to speak to an NPC, when suddenly the sound of Stairway to Heaven caught my ears hehe. Pretty damn cool.
In June there will be a MUSIC UPDATE along with the first huge content upgrade that will open a new area of Middle-Earth --- FOR FREE. The music upgrade will allow players to write music and share them with friends! The content upgrade will give over 60 new missions in the new area, and many new items/armour sets. Can't wait ;) Turbine is taking amazing care of their community in a very 'human' fashion, unlike most game 'corporations'.
can someone explain how the music is played, does it play by itself or do you make the acctuarl music? and what level is the minimun for instrument, it looks so cool.
It's getting better. Through a secret tester, I found out that they will be adding the ability to 'write your own music' and macro it so you can play it back at the push of a button. ;^)
Equip the instrument - type /music. Then press keys 1-8 for notes, altered if you hold down SHIFT or CTRL. Have fun ;) - Get the pre-order if you can because it's SO worth it and the graphics... well... HIGH RES is even nicer.

You press from 1-8 for the tones. shift will make it one octave higher and ctrl will lower them by half a step.
