QUESTION- do these things still overheat easily? especially in states like TX?

@stangster44 I've driven these cars all day long in bumper to bumper traffic in 100+ degree Atlanta weather with the a/c on its highest setting -- never had a C5 or C6 overheat on me.

I know where you're coming from though, I've had several midyear and straight axle Corvettes overheat on me this summer. Problem with those cars is they're just not driven enough -- the coolant has a tendency to 'gooify' when the cars sit for months on end, which tends to keep the thermostats from opening.
