Was this during the 2006 fire expo? I was there and they were in this reserve resue not the actual rescue 1. The last day of the expo the reserve broke which put the guys in the first rescue 1 (second reserve). They went through three rescues in a weekend. I talked to them and they were pissed. They had no AC. Also the reason the lights dont show on the video is probably due to the camera speed. Sometimes strobes dont show up.

Sounds great! But,what's the deal with these guys and not using their emerg lights???

They use them. You can see them flashing on the front of the rig. Digital cameras don't do a very good job of picking up the strobes though.
