  • man add some power to that its hittin ok...but you want the best haha

  • sounds like it get loud in there

please check out my 84 Benz - Kicker Solobaric L7 15''

    (playing the same song) :D

  • Hid xenon

  • will you marry me?

haha. i love it. its such like.... a soccer mom car with an amazing system.

ats alright though. i have a grand cherokee and it looks just as weird. lol.

  • @acidicpleasures Haha...this car has been to hell and back. Rear-ended twice, had the door panel replaced, etc. A good car though. :D

  • @ArmoredPersonel48698 hahah. yeah mine has too. actually, mine's been rear ended twice too... but thank God for my hitch. it fucked the dudes who hit me up more than it did me.

    I used to take mine muddin a lot and i fucked it up countless times like that. D;

i only have one 12 though. :P and a kicker amp... soo you'd blow me out of the water. big time.

  • @acidicpleasures I need a new box for mine. That and a better alternator. :D My voltage drops quite a bit. I know for a fact, that I've been pushing my subs hard, lately. Way to hard at times. Not to long ago I played some Psyph, roasted my subs. They were hot to touch. :D Gotta love it. Now I'm busting out my rock collection. Sounds awesome! I need to get some footage of it tomorrow or some time soon. > _ <

  • @ArmoredPersonel48698 hahahah! Psyph is the SHIT. I fuckin love that man.

Bass Monster hits harder than HELL.

I prolly need a better alternator too. :D Honestly, though, I've barely been pushing mine. Hahah. My 12 sounds pretty clean now, and it still rattles my neighbors doors, but I still haven't pushed mine at all.

  • @ArmoredPersonel48698 hahahah! Psyph is the SHIT. I fuckin love that man.

  • @acidicpleasures One thing I love about my system, is even though it's loud, it's clean. Sounds sick imo. One of the cleaner systems at my school. I'd rather have pretty loud and clean, than holy shit loud and distorted.

  • @ArmoredPersonel48698 Thats how I am. There's this guy at my school who has 2 16s in his Hummer, and they sound okay until he turns it up, then it sounds like shit. He's hooked all of his subs up himself... On his Hummer, his Benz, and his Caddi, and they all sound like SHIT. I hooked mine up myself with some help from my ex, and mine still hit harder, sound cleaner, and look better than his does. It kills him. Hah.

  • @acidicpleasures Even though my box was premade (was to lazy to make my own), it sounds nice. A few people at school built their own, and they sound like shit. Now, I'm no stranger to working on boxes or speaker cabinets. Past few months I've been working on a sound system for a friend of mine who's a DJ down in florida. Massive ass system. Sounds good too. Final testing was today. But yeah, if it's distorted, I hate it. That's why I hate the sound system in my room. Lol.

  • @ArmoredPersonel48698 Hahahah my box was premade too. Same reason... I was too damn lazy to do it myself. :P

thats fuckin cool though that you do that shit. I've only hooked mine up... and helped a friend with his..

anything more than that, I'm fuckin worthless. Hahh.

  • @acidicpleasures And people bash them too. I don't get it. If it sounds good, then use it. I'd love to have my own custom box, but I'm saving that for my big build whenever I get around to it. Two 18s, walled off, between 1500 and 2000 watts, new door panels, a-pillars, replacing my yellow top with a XSPower D3100 or two, a new alternator and the final wire of the big three. That'll probably have to wait until next year though. *sad face*

  • @ArmoredPersonel48698 Hahaha shit. I need to start saving for a better system. I'm thinkin about buying these 2 12s that my best friend's cousin had in his Neon and buying either a stronger amp, or another amp to go with the one I have now.

I DEFINITELY need to replace my door speakers though... Hahahaha. I've blown two of them already. Once I get enough money, I'll probably just replace them with 6x9s.

  • @acidicpleasures I'm still iffy at best if I want to do it myself or not. I might, or might not. Not sure. Lol. It'd be a fun project, but with my schedule, it'd take forever to do.

  • @ArmoredPersonel48698 Hhaha me and you both, buddy. Of course, since school let out and it's summer now and I'm currently unemployed... it might actually work out for me.. :D But, since I dont' got to bed until 8 am and dont wake up until 5 pm, it might be a little difficult... But, I could always stay up all night and do it. Lol.

  • @acidicpleasures Haha...that's me. 'cept it's 2am and 10am. Lol. Now that I've got a legit job, I'll be busy more often, so I might just leave it to the pros. Give them the specs and say do it. Lol. I'll probably just have them make the wall and box for me, and I'll deal with the wiring. Seems easier and cheaper that way. That way, It'll be wired so I know where everything goes. Lol. Hopefully, if they do it for me, they get the box the right size and the port tuned right.

  • @ArmoredPersonel48698 Haha.. yeah it might he a hell of a lot easier on you that way. I'm about to rewire mine and hide the rest of the wires, cause when we hooked it up, it was at like 12 in the morning at the fire department and it was like... the 4th Saturday working on it because Walmart didnt carry any of the shit we needed so we had to run cross country just to get the shit, so we sorta just BS'd hiding all the wires. lol.

  • @acidicpleasures I'm surprised mine is as clean as it is. I started going batshit near the end which is where I started running cables. It's a damn rat's nest behind my rear seat though. Hopefully, when I do the wall, it'll be cleaner. Mount the amp on the back of the box, have the wires run through the old holes....should look pretty clean. Hopefully. That t1500 is going to be beastly. Can't wait to get it. Haha. Although the system for my job comes first. DJ'ing...ftw.

  • @ArmoredPersonel48698 Hahaha yeah thats pretty much what happened to me. I really need to clean it all up and hide all the wires. But, I prolly wont do that until I get another radio and my new 6x9 speakers for my doors. That's so fuckin cool you DJ though. I've always thought that'd be like... the perfect job to have. hahah.

  • @acidicpleasures It's a fun job. Worst part about it for me, is that I have a really shitty memory when it comes to music, so I have to carry a notebook full of songs that I can play and/or have. Lol. You meet cool people, have a blast, don't have to be in fancy clothes all the time, etc. Only bad thing about it, it's expensive to get into, and equipment is heavy as hell. Especially amp racks. 400 pounds anyone? Lol.

  • @ArmoredPersonel48698 Hahaha shit. Thats pretty damn heavy.

How'd you get into it, anyway? I've considered it for a longgg ass time now, but I've never actually met someone who actually DJs. Hahah.

  • @acidicpleasures I know the owner of a club that's not to far from my house. The usual DJ for the night wasn't going to be there, and he asked if I would be interested in doing it. I said sure. I've tinkered with DJ'ing over the years, but that one night is what got me hooked. I loved it. Now I work as a DJ (and a regular employee) at the local bowling alley. Fun stuff. Been working on a new lightshow. Can't wait to see it in action.

  • @ArmoredPersonel48698 That's cool as hell, man. Really. I'd love to be a DJ. It'd be cool as shit. ha.

  • ey do u live in the bay area u look hella familiar?

  • @510dayay Nah man, I live on the other side of the states. North Carolina in fact.

  • @ArmoredPersonel48698 hahaha my bad bro u looked familiar bur nice

system anyway bro got same subs and amp. Shit knocks for the price.

  • has any hot girls ever got into your tiny car?

  • Yes.

  • i got the same set up, get a capacitor your going to kill your alternator, dont your lights dim when bass hits hard?

  • @jlebren There's no way in hell I'm buying a capacitor. I'd rather get a 200a alternator and a 2nd battery. Over Christmas, I replaced the wet cell stock battery with a Yellow top. The lights still dim, but not as much. It's not bad enough to kill the alt or the engine. So yeah...lol. When I get my RF T1500 and 2 AA Chaos 12s, I'm getting a second battery and eventually a 200a alternator.

  • the 200a alternator replaces the one in the engine right? and the second battery gets hooked up in the trunk right? and why so negative about capacitors? arent they supposed to help when hitting high bass?

  • @jlebren Yes. Yes. I don't like them, don't exactly help in the long run. The music I listen to has sustained bass lines. Not just occasional deep bass lines. And yes they do.

  • @ArmoredPersonel48698 what do you mean they dont help in the long run? and so i should replace my battery to an Optima yellow top and get a high end alternator installed and remove the capacitor and hook up a battery in the trunk in like with everything else, so it would go power from battery in engine to battery in trunk then to amp and then ground from chassis to battery then to amp?

  • @jlebren Feel free to do what you want. I prefer batteries and alts over caps.

  • @ArmoredPersonel48698 i asked around and your right hooking up a battery and a high end alternator is a PERMIT fix, getting a cap is more like a band aid fix, and what gauge wiring do you have because some times my amp shits the bed but then jumps back on is it not enough power (should replace gauge from 4 - 2 or 0 ?

  • @jlebren What you're getting is one of two things. Either the signal is clipping, or you're getting voltage drops. My guess is, voltage drops. The KAC-9104D (if that's the amp you're describing) accepts only 4 gauge and smaller. Your best bet is to do the following. (See next comment.)

  • @jlebren Upgrade the battery to chassis negative with 4 gauge or larger. I used 4 gauge. Upgrade the engine block to chassis negative. Upgrade the alternator to battery positive. Upgrade your stock battery to a better one. I suggest a yellow top for starters. But if you feel like forking out some money, grab a Kinetic or a XSPower. Also check to make sure your grounds are clean grounds. Meaning, there's no paint or something in between the wire terminal and the negative area.

  • @ArmoredPersonel48698 Ok so upgrade the BIG 3, alternator and battery, (maybe even two) and that should do the trick, and get rid of my cap (sell that shit) because i dont want stored power, i want more power right? and what do you have your amp tuned to (dials on the back) andyea i have the same subs and amp

  • @jlebren Let me just say this. For starters, upgrade your battery to a Yellow top and do the big 3 in 4 gauge. Don't worry about your alternator until later in your audio days. I'd leave the 2nd battery alone unless you absolutely need it. As for the cap, I'd leave it on for shits and grins. Can never have to much power! Oh, and if you upgrade your battery, upgrade the fuse that goes from the battery to your amp. I've blown 2 in the last 24 hours. 100a would be nice, 60 = a band aid.

  • flip the box !! face it toward the rear hatch it will increase ur bass !! sound waves need to bounce !! beleive me i have the same truck !!

  • Ic i have the same amp and it had that problem but i upgraded my wire and for the most part it quit but if you want to get rid of that amp ill buy it lol

  • Lol...I would sell it, but I'm probably gonna keep my hands on it just to see if the new amp I'm planning on getting is worth a tinkers damn or not. But once I get my SSD's, my whole system will probably go up on the market for purchase. I'll let you know. Gonna be awhile before I get my new shit though. Gotta get the money. Lol.

  • What kind of amp do you got and how often does it cut out

  • It's a Kenwood 9104D and it' cuts out way more than want it to. It either cooperates with me, or it decides to drop half the bass then pick it back up later or it decides to shut off when the bass gets low. I'm about to remove it, upgrade to a Autotek SM1-1500 and two Fi 12" SSD 1-ohm DVC's. In a better and bigger box, most definitely. :D

  • bro your system sucks mad dick..get better subs..kewoods ass

  • Fuck you bro. I don't have shit loads of cash to buy better stuff. And I'm satisfied with what I have. I honestly could care less what you think.

  • wow your system is ass

  • i got you're exact same setup, except the component speakers. how far away can you hear yours? For me, all i get is extreme rattle outside the car and no bass. head-pounding bass inside, but none outside

  • According to my friend, he can hear me from between one to two to three blocks away depending on the song. A Milli is probably the loudest song that this damn thing can play. It's not low bass, but that higher shit, OMG!!! I'll get a video of it soon.

  • haha i got those and yours arent even worn in yet, wait till they were in, your ass is going to get a message when your riddin in yo whip.

  • ur subs straight..how much u paid for the whole setup?....check my setup out

  • Not sure how much it was, considering my parents got it for me to install.
