Its quite true, the circumstances you are in largely determine your actions and decisions. People are more shaped by this than anything else. The idea that everyone has a set of core values that cannot be altered or changed is rubbish. The analogy of the average Joe vs the Rockstar is a great one. Someone without a choice will remain faithful because there is no better option but how would he behave he became rich and famous?? You see this in politics all the time.

I used to live in California, CA used to the epitome of the American dream, when I was there, internet millionaires were being minted left and right, not so much these days. Only Facebook and Google got off the ground in the 2000s, and that is mostly because those two companies are controlled by the US government, especially Google. Silicon Valley overall is in the shits, there is more of a software industry in India these days.

That's the problem for a long time America had a system where the vast majority of people were able to get by or prosper. That is no longer the case, America is going down the toilet. A few very well heeled rich are doing well but for the most part middle America as we know it is finished. That is going to have severe consequences for America as a free nation which is doubtful it will exist as a free country for much longer.
Demcad has a real point about America's downward spiral. I used to live in the US during a relatively much better time, the 1990s, it was also a time of big moral change in America. However, economically America was doing great during those times. Right now and for the last couple of years since the GFC, America is in the toilet. Moral decline has always been a process, each generation gets a little more "dumbed down" to the issues of morality. The "american dream" campaign of buying a bigger house, having 2 or 3 nice cars, a 50 inch TV...ect. has been directly linked to the status and value of your existance. Striving to have more at any cost, is a sign you are a commited to the system, that you buy into it, and your willing to trade your time, and maybe even compromise your values, to be 'elevated" to a higher status
Very good video. I think you make a lot of interesting and valid points. I would say that Gay Marriage is a symptom of moral decline, but it is not the moral decline itself. Really it is the increasing uncertainty that there is a right and wrong that you're talking about. And if there is a right and wrong, the increasing disagreement about whose rights and wrongs we follow. These are all the markes of a society that has lost its moral moorings. We are increasingly adrift, morally speaking.

great topic.. an example of this is i think whether or not most guys (not all, but most) are faithful to their wife or girlfriend depends on their circumstance, the everyday average joe-blow probably doesnt have many opportunites to be with other women, so its easier for him to remain faithful to his wife, but if that same guy is a Rock Star out on tour in a different city everynight, with hot girls everynight ready to get it on with him at the drop of a hat, staying faithful then isnt so easy.

Its quite true, the circumstances you are in largely determine your actions and decisions. People are more shaped by this than anything else. The idea that everyone has a set of core values that cannot be altered or changed is rubbish. The analogy of the average Joe vs the Rockstar is a great one. Someone without a choice will remain faithful because there is no better option but how would he behave he became rich and famous?? You see this in politics all the time.

The growth of the American Empire is already at a halt. Robert Gates announced a massive 71 billion dollar cut to the military. So America will be having a smaller military in the coming years. This as some other countries are expanding their military capabilities, Russia and China. Even Germany now ditched it peace keeping limitations to build a new professional army. American military dominance is going to end this decade.

I used to live in California, CA used to the epitome of the American dream, when I was there, internet millionaires were being minted left and right, not so much these days. Only Facebook and Google got off the ground in the 2000s, and that is mostly because those two companies are controlled by the US government, especially Google. Silicon Valley overall is in the shits, there is more of a software industry in India these days.

Divide the people into a procumer (producer-consumer) class, an administer class, and a handicap class. The procumers consume and produce for their self worth, raising the average worth and in turn the nation's worth. The administration class is just people whom manage stuff. Worst is that they actually may get rid of the federal reserve, but then they'll degenerate to the pre-reserve methods. Which is more or less indifferent to today. Look up the crisis of 1907 and a few from the late 1800s. I'm convinced that the FR was established just to slow down a system that is broken and never was fixed. That's the problem for a long time America had a system where the vast majority of people were able to get by or prosper. That is no longer the case, America is going down the toilet. A few very well heeled rich are doing well but for the most part middle America as we know it is finished. That is going to have severe consequences for America as a free nation which is doubtful it will exist as a free country for much longer.

Demcad has a real point about America's downward spiral. I used to live in the US during a relatively much better time, the 1990s, it was also a time of big moral change in America. However, economically America was doing great during those times. Right now and for the last couple of years since the GFC, America is in the toilet. Michigan, Demcad's home state was once an economic powerhouse, its now a shadow of its former self.

This Depression is our own fault. I know this hard to understand for most folks but we just can't blame the banks. We have to blame our selves. We let them take away our true money (Gold/Silver) in 1933 (HJR-192) and we accepted "paper". We worship this fictitious paper and then complain about how the banks take away our homes because we can't give them enough paper. We tell our kids that they need to go to college so they will have enough paper. We Fight and kill because of "PAPER".

Moral decline has always been a process, each generation gets a little more "dumbed down" to the issues of morality. The "american dream" campaign of buying a bigger house, having 2 or 3 nice cars, a 50 inch TV...ect. has been directly linked to the status and value of your existance. Striving to have more at any cost, is a sign you are a commited to the system, that you buy into it, and your willing to trade your time, and maybe even compromise your values, to be 'elevated" to a higher status

Very good video. I think you make a lot of interesting and valid points. I would say that Gay Marriage is a symptom of moral decline, but it is not the moral decline itself. Really it is the increasing uncertainty that there is a right and wrong that you're talking about. And if there is a right and wrong, the increasing disagreement about whose rights and wrongs we follow. These are all the markes of a society that has lost its moral moorings. We are increasingly adrift, morally speaking.

I agree, it is moral decline above all else. Speaking of accidents...In my community was a woman in a rollover accident who was left hanging upside down for over half an hour. Cars kept on passing, like nothing was happening. The poor woman could have died from hypothermia, injuries. Fortunately she was alright but this happened in a supposedly "tight-knit" community. We have all become bystanders without action.

in the old days people had to protect themselves from bad guys and unsafe conditions. there was no 911 dispatcher for police fire and rescue, so they had to be more careful and aware of their surroundngs in physically dangerous conditions.
nowadays people who witness a crime or serious injury are intimidated by the authorities into doing nothing about it, because they will be implicated somehow for a crime. they might even get sued by the person they rescue!

I definitely have found that the women went for jerks when I was your age. I will NEVER understand that one. Being respectful, thoughtful, and kind got me nowhere. Meanwhile, the jerks would have good-looking, seemingly smart women that they'd treat like dirt. Somehow, the lowbrow male behavior exhibits "status" to women on some level that appeals to them. Later comes the woman looking for a good man after the jerk has knocked her up and left. Look out for that one.

I belive what You were talking about with relation to society fostering within People a kind of "Evil" is wholey correct..But it depends on the type of socio-economic/social engineering being practiced by a paticuler Country....The brute force of croney capatalism practiced in the West but espesically in America tends to foster a very nasty selfish mentality as this type of aggressive consumer reaps the largest profits for the Corporations.

The "attractive jerk" phenomenon is part of biology. It's hard wired into the roles of human gender behavior. YouTube search on "David DeAngelo" and he addresses how individual mating habits are controlled by nature.
There are countless studies on how your workplace personality is directly tied to your success at work. It isn't the nice guy who rises to become the next Donald Trump or Mark Cuban. Human relations outside the workplace can be just as cut throat.

I agree with this to a point. We are sentient beings, and we have the ability to control our behavior. We're not mindless animals beholden to our reptilian and mammalian brains. We CAN overcome these behaviors. One doesn't have to be Trump or Mark Cuban if they don't want to be, and there are PLENTY of Billionire's who are the exact opposite of them. By the same token, men don't HAVE to be dragged around on a leash by a gorgeous woman who has no integrity and is a jerk. Only non-thinking men do
