There was more blatant cheating involved with Argentina's two WC victories - Maradona handball vs England 1986; being allowed in 1978 to play their match after Brazil's game thereby knowing they needed to win by at least five goals vs Peru to qualify, and "mysteriously" managing to do just that against a previously strong and resilient team.

you should have added that a german refereed argentina-england, and an english refereed germany-uruguay. the draw for the referees was done by s.rous before the delegates of the quarter-finalists arrived; when they got to there at the set time, they were told that the draw had been pushed forward. argentina had a player sent off, uruguay had 2 players sent off. Schnellinger saved a certain goal with the hand, no penalty was given (search for the video "La Primera Mano de Dios").

He told Max Danz - president of the West German Athletics Federation - that doping tests had uncovered the illegal use of ephedrine by the three German players.

What most people have failed to spot over the years in Germany's second goal, the rules of offside were different then where there had to be 2 out field players between the goal and the ball not including the goalkeeper, when you look at it, it was offside at best and maybe even handball, the linesmen then was the same linesmen that said the ball had crossed the line and was about to put his flag up but changed his mind, so your Conspiracy theory is so far off the mark it's laughable.

you should have added that a german refereed argentina-england, and an english refereed germany-uruguay. the draw for the referees was done by s.rous before the delegates of the quarter-finalists arrived; when they got to there at the set time, they were told that the draw had been pushed forward. argentina had a player sent off, uruguay had 2 players sent off. Schnellinger saved a certain goal with the hand, no penalty was given (search for the video "La Primera Mano de Dios").

In answer to another comment, the german defenders were not in any way distracted by people on the pitch ,it was the dying seconds, they were drained of energy and got nowhere near the powerful hurst as he thundered his winning shot in. How he managed a run like that and also had the strengh to hit it so powerfully at that stage of the game still puzzles me even now !!

In the final England were the better team and conceded a debatable free kick in the dying moments of the game which led the German equiliser. on of the main points does seem to have been missed. the linesman who gave the "goal" was russian. it was hugely important to the russians that the west germans were not seen as more successful than the east germans, and so the linesman was under pressure to ensure that england won.
this was written about in the linesman's memoirs, but strangely the english media chose not to pick up on it...
it was a corrupt tournament, but there we go. nobody died.

Not much evidence of a conspiracy here. Plus, you're looking at a game from the 1960's from a 2010 point of view : the ref's were far more lenient then. I can remember football as far back as the 1970's and it was brutal at times.
FYI red and yellow cards were not introduced until 1970. If you want to look at Englands downfall, you need only look as far as 1970, after which England did not qualify again until 1982.

Has for the 2 games with English referee's. Has the Refereeing is a total separate body to FIFA or any other football body and has been for 70 years. FIFA or any one else, even the ref's them selfs do not know who the ref's will be for whitch game, till the team has been selected for that match. The only thing you could say for sure would be the ref will not be coming from the country,s that are playing, they are the first to be removed from selection.

one of the rules in football is if you keep on at the referee so that the game can not play on, the referee is allowed to book that player and send him off. And this what happen here in that Argentina v England match. The Argentina player was on the ref's back that much the game had come to a halt. In those days time was not added on for wasting time, only for injury time.

The 3rd goal was a close thing, but today technology shows that the ball was over the white line. Even in this film it shows it was over the line, because you can see the white line when the ball bounce. Could off done with that lines man in this years world cup final. England won the 1966 world cup by playing a system that baffled opponents...No wingers. Sir Alf Ramsay played what would loosly be called a 4-4-2 lineup.Goal... Banks, Defenders...Cohen, Wilson, Charlton, Moore(Capt), Midfield.... (Halfbacks then) Stiles, Ball, Peters, Charlton, Forwards...Hunt, Hurst. England took time to settle into their new system after a draw and two wins. No team had the answer. Beckanbaur and Eusabio have said england deserved to win! That's good enough for me!!

@guyosborn haha actually the holocaust was greatly exaggerated and was used to form the criminal state of Israel. Hitler was given money to take the jews out and put them into palestine and call it Israel. I hate to disappoint you but yes we never went to the moon I will bet my life on that buddy.
