  • Duuuuude...Don'tcha love it when that happens! Happened to me and my shaku once.

  • @bamboosa Yes, It's great to connect with others!

    all the best ,Perry

  • As I mentioned in my other post, I play Andean quena, which has a similar mouthpiece to the shakuhachi. It is considered also one of the hardest flutes of all but I think that maybe the shakuhachi is probably a little bit harder, I havn't really had the chance to try a shakuhachi though unfourtunatly...

  • Hey, really nice,

I play the Andean quena which is quite similar to the Shakuhachi, I have some vids up but I need to post new ones.

I know EXACTLY how you feel when you encounter someone who is a "natural"

some people really catch on unusually fast...

Not only does this guy start playing instantly, he keeps at it trying to refine his playing. Most people try, can't get any sound or very little and then give up on the spot,

  • Perry my idol, you really are a master teacher who generously spread the magic of our beloved instrument even to strangers.

  • Very Nice! I am very anxious to try the Wonderful Shakuhachi....I hope I am able to get some nice sounds from it in a fairly short time!

  • Yes! talent is abound. All we have to do is look and listen with clear eyes and ears.

  • People like this guy are incredible. Talent reveals itself in mysterious ways.
