@MrDocNotloc that is a strange i do admit but there is an explanation i can think of for that, such as you know when you lunge the entire distance but you still dont get that kill.

There are 2 different kinds of knifing:

Quick knife (your right next to them, short animation)

Long knife (your at a bit more of a distance, long animation).

If you do the Long knife you cannot do anything till your animation resets.

That is the best explanation for that i can give you.

Watch from the start of the clip 0:22 he follows him with the Tomahawk after he climb up the ladder the guy swang around the corner sprinting (mean he cannot do any offensive action for .05 of a second factoring in reaction time, ping lag and game speed not literally letting him.

The calculation i made gives him .05 of a second being the quickest humanly and technically possible but with the standard COD player that goes up to .45 of a second.
