1) It isn't free

2) Doesn't allow for screen-capture of portions of the screen... or the desktop itself. (near as I can tell)

3) You can't adjust the sound-input to "Line in"

4) Quality seems no better than Camtasia.

But please, attempt to explain why it is the "much better" program.

@Jon it doesnt do portions of the screen, but if you check "Monitor Aero desktop" then you can record the desktop itself. as for the sound if you check "record Win7 sound" then it does record the microphone and game. just thought i would mention

@Jon Fraps offers you 120. And it believes. The bigger your framerate is, the better (and bigger) your video is. If you will set your framerate to 1 fps, you'll get a slideshow (just like Plumbers Don't Wear Ties). If it'll be bigger -- you'll get better results.

@Kwpolska - If you're going to argue with a professional video editor, it helps to have some idea of what you're talking about. Which you clearly don't.

The human eye is unable to tell the difference in frame-rate much past 30-40fps. The only purpose for filming at a higher FPS is to slow the footage down to achieve slow motion.

Again, I don't really see any conceivable reason why you'd want to slow-motion for a video game. Especially since 99% of games don't render more than 30fps anyway.

Another great walk you've provided, Jon. The only complaint I have with the game is what I don't see. It's PEOPLE! Like you mentioned earlier there's only a handful of people in the town in the middle of the afternoon, too. There are a lot of games that share the same problem. I think we got too teased with the Grand Theft Auto series. People are everywhere.

Why cannot some people not handle change ? Jon is attempting something new and I think its a really good idea. One production change I'd like to see made (a minor change)

Instead of saying "Computer" for the platform of PC games, have it say PC for Windows games and Mac for Mac games (and PC / Mac for hybrid games).

This helps people know if the game is able to be played on their OS. Also, most video game sites actually use that format instead of saying "Computer." (Another, unnecessary addition would be to say PC/Mac DVD/CD-ROM/Download to let people know how to get the game).
