I'm not doubting the will of our soldiers, I'm saying we either need to rethink our strategy & attempt this war from a better angle or we might as well pull out. since we've shown so little improvement (have you read the news in afghanistan? - its gotten worse in the past couple of months alone) we have no reasonable choice but to take option #2.
Yes, Iraq and Afghanistan were in horrible shape, but our prescense made the situation much worse.

I may be a liberal, but I actually care about my fellow countrymen and would rather them be home with their families than fighting a ridiculous war against a country that posed no threat to us. We should fight terrorism in Afghanistan instead.

Hey man, I live darn NEAR San Francisco, and I supported the war.
I think there's a lot of misunderstanding of why we went to Iraq. And this video shows a lot of emotion, but no real thought from those people.
Oh well.
I'll say this, the protestors from the 60s, for all their BS, were a lot more educated than these folks.

Terrorism aims to produce fear, because fear produces weakness. That is the main goal of terrorism, to make you afraid. When you panic you are weakest. Panic makes you far more prone to make mistakes, like wrongly invading Iraq.
If citizens are spreading fear and ignorance around out of panic, we are losing. If panicked citizens look for Reds under the beds in the White House, or believe Presidents are possibly dangerous because of politically motivated rumors and lies, we are lost.

Do you know what it means to be a soldier? You don't ask questions. They aren't supposed to. questioning orders will get you shot in the middle of a firefight. It's not their job to ask "Why should I?". If they wanted to do that they should be politicians. Oh that's awesome, I wish I'd been able to stay there longer but I didn't even realize it was happening till I was walking through it on the way to the bank. Thank I ran home to get my camera, but it was almost all gone by then.

yeah ive been going w/ my dad ever since the war started (he's raised me to be a hippie thank god!)but he couldnt go this year b/c he had a buisness trip so my boyfriend took me as a suprise :) but anyways... it was awesome! again the people there were so awesome... some people there were slightly creepy but mostly everybody was chill. i dont get to see people like that b/c i live in newport beach... yeah no hippies there... just stuck up rich people!
