It was cool to see her do this song acoustic instead of how it was done on the CD. It really let us hear her voice as is without being drowned out. She really sang her heart out here too. Too bad Howard Stern couldn't keep his yap shut I'd have loved to have heard more out of her during her interview.
someone know who is the girl in black who singin the back vocals - absolutely amazing voice.please someone to tell me who is this woman i want to find her solo albums or whatever
I think it's Meredith Brooks the one that wrote the song. She use to be in the Go'go's but then went to found The Graces before going solo. You'll recall another one of her singles called "Bitch".
Actually, I'm pretty sure that's Vicki Peterson (from the Bangles) in the back, far left. She's sitting next to Charlotte Caffey (who originally released this song with the Graces) and, I think, her brother Tom. Vicki replaced Charlotte in the mid 90's during the Go-go's reunion tour, when Charlotte became pregnant. Great clip!!!! I'd never seen it before!!!
Real is a timeless masterpiece; this album is certainly an exhilarating ride to the senses. Belinda's enchanting and fascinating voice makes every track a refreshing, invigorating, soothing, interesting, inspiring, uplifting and exciting trip through a wonderful sound scape.
'Lay Down Your Arms' is an excellent highlight and it has all the musical qualities to appeal and provide an everlasting adrenaline rush to those privileged listeners of this and all generations.
Why would you take a song from the Graces and re-do it? Because no one remembers the original and she is hoping to get some accolades for a song that someone else did. Great song though, don't understand why she chose that song out of all the others. she could have done.
I love Bel, great performer! saw her live, she's a riot!!

howard stern - he said that he had one thing to say one thing....yeah right....blah, blah, blah...
Loved how Leno made fun of him - only Stern would come back with a juvenile statement - package

Didn't Vicky play for Vixen as well? The drummer for Vixen was Roxy Petrucci who also played with her sister on Madam X back in the 80's
