  • @RevelationsofFreedom For all we know we already are? Look to news in 20 years time.

  • Down with the faceless puppeteers! We know you exist and the people are going to root you out.

  • goddamn. Great speech. Rand said everything short of "fuck the power hungry president"

  • Thank you Senator Paul, for having the courage to bring this resolution to your cowardly peers.

  • @classicalbunny Well said, Cowards and parasites. I can't imagine sending kids to potentially die and not having a say when it is my responsibility to do so. Sorry bastards.

  • The lord only wants 10%,why not a flat tax of 10%, But No, when you hear politicians talking about the flat tax, they are talking like 20 something %Why?There are many outfits, particularly the LDS Mormon church, that because of their 10% program, are Debt free, everything is paid for.Why cantWe as a nation institute a flat tax for everyone, even corporations,Pass the word,10% flat tax,God,or the great Creator, only wants 10%,if it’s good enough for him, it should be good enough for our Government!

  • @Clint45s actually Dr. Ron Paul has proposed this very idea as well as abolishing the IRS. Ron Paul 2012!!

  • @Clarencesify

    Please link your proof...

  • Imagine if most of the income tax generated in our area actually stayed here to pay for local medical care, local roads, and local infrastructure. Would it be a better use than nursing Wall St. and 4 wars in the face of world record debt?

    Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Drugs.

I'm not anti income tax, it works. I justly hate watching political washington fail this hard on so many levels for so many people. The system isn't even terrible, it's the hijacking and the perversion of the system that is.

  • America Has Entered Into A Failed State—No Form Of Control, Representation Or Accountability, Utterly Insane For Our Puppet Leaders To Allow A System Of Over Spending To Exist, Without No Accountability, And The Lack Of Maintaining Sound Budgets. These Are Treasoness Grievances Being Perpetrated Upon The Sovereign People Of America, By An Unconscious Governing Body—Either Through Neglect Or By Design. It Is The Right Of All Who Seek Liberty, To Protect The Principles Of Freedom!

  • Ron Paul 2012!... :)

  • Thank you Senator Paul, Long Live the Republic!!!

  • I THINK ITS LONG OVERDUE FOR A NATIONWIDE FEDERAL INCOME TAX PROTEST!

  • Our modern government is hardly free when they can lock me in a cage because I don't want my taxes to fund child sex slavery in Afghanistan, predator drones dropping bombs on women and children, or DEA agents busting down the doors of cancer patients for using marijuana!

  • My definition of government is a monopoly of force that extorts money and resources from us just to lock people in a cage or kill people if they disagree with their murderous wars, ponzi schemes and theft!

  • EVERYBODY should listen to the libertarians in office! We need to stop all these damned wasteful wars! So destructive to life! The audacity that the left were upset with Bush, but now try to justify Obama even though Obama didn't get congressional approval.... ITS ABSURD! How can these democrats justify government theft when all they do is KILL PEOPLE WITH MY TAX PAYER MONEY? I AM SICK OF IT!

  • RAND PAUL YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!! YOU TELL THOSE BASTARDS IN THE GOVERNMENT LIKE IT IS!!!!!

  • Wesley Clark has a you tube vid were he tells democracy now that in 2001 one of the generals told him they wanted to take over 7 countries in 5 years. I guess we are moving down the road. I herd the globalist were going to give Egypt and libya to the muslim brotherhood / al-CIA-da. Then we will pay triple for our own oil that we have trillions upon trillions of barrels, but that is for CHEVRON.

  • Leftist television channel MSNBC made a mockery of itself— after one of its journalists Lawrence O’Donnel was exposed, disregarding the truth—by distorting the meaning of a non-binding Senate Resolution and the views of Sen. Rand Paul, on the Obama administration’s United Nations-backed war in Libya. Now, critics of the network and supporters of the Senator are demanding an apology. • Since when do we "follow" the UN before we inform Congress? This Admin will turn our country over to the UN (with George Soros' guidance). Obama has no need for the Congress unless they are willing to do his bidding.

  • Was he speaking to an empty chamber?

  • @ahwatdahec A brief study of U.S. intervention over the previous several decades will reveal that the U.S. hardly ever has humanitarian motivations (as proven by what occurs in said interventions), and yet they almost always CLAIM that the intentions are humanitarian. Clearly you have swallowed wholesale the utter bullshit you have been spoon-fed from the official sources. Unfortunate but expected.

  • Looks like the first part of the list didnt go through. Here it is again, the rest of the powers congress has over our military that the president does not.

    To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;

    To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;

    To provide and maintain a Navy;

  • To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;

  • To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces;

    To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

  • @UBSCARED

A primary function of the 16th Amendment was to fund wars. They even admit that in our sub par schooling.

Also, you are an idiot if you think the constitution gives the president to declare war. The constitution gives that power to only to congress, not the president. Learn to read the most important document in the country.

  • A rising star and a great man. Keep fighting Senator, we are with you!!!

  • This President spends borrowed money with impunity. It is almost like he is a saboteur of our economy and foreign policy.

  • The federal income tax code was originally created during WWII to fund the war and was supposed to expire after a period of peace. So the U.S. has had to go to war every few years ever since in order to prevent the income tax code from expiring.

  • Rand Paul is brillant! If anyone can debate Obama (and win), it's Rand Paul! Keep fighting for America, Rand. We stand with you!

  • Excellent speech... great points!

  • I'm not surprised... it may have started with his birth certificate...slippery slope...

    1) That gives them permission (in their mind) to cram Obamacare down the throats of the American people.

    2) Obama goes to the UN to complain about Arizona's "immigration" policy.

    3) Obama takes the nation to war after consulting the UN (and not US Congress)

We conservatives cannot pick and choose which parts of the constitution can be allowed to be ignored and which parts should be enforced.

  • I feel an assassination in the works...vest up Rand bulletproofmedotcom

  • My first question is, where is Cindy Sheehan?

  • I am impressed. This speech is a defining moment. Thank you Sen. Rand Paul for standing up for our Constitution and what is right

  • I am impressed. This speech is a defining moment. Thank you Sen. Rand Paul for standing up for our Constitution and what is right.

  • Rand Paul is a true statesman and patriot.

    Rand or Ron Paul 2012

  • No more war. Fix Fukushima, it is CLEARLY an imminent threat to the people all over the world.

  • Whenever I'm down and lose hope, I listen to the Dr. Paul's. They always give it back to me. Thank you for being brave and strong Dr. Paul. We need you.

  • Their goal is to destory the US dollar and to have open borders. The USA is looking more and more like Mexico. And what they want is to merge the US, Canada and Mexico. We are losing our sovereignty and americans do not even give a shit.

  • Obama took a stand to protect people from being slaughtered. If Rand Paul wishes to impeach Obama over that then be my guest.

  • @watch123456 why not go through congress? he dithered for a week before sending in troops.

  • Excuse me! That is what dictators do. The military is not a humanitarian body. It is there to protect and defend the Constitution. If this President can wave his hand and have the military go to war, what else can he do. There are checks and balances: like 535 Congressman and Senators. This is an atrocity.

  • This makes me so angry and I'm not even American.

  • I fear we are in deep trouble as a nation, why? Because our constitutional understandings have been bread out of us. We are an ignorant people when it comes to the principles of freedom. Washington, Adams, and Jefferson all cautioned against entangling America back into centuries old reasons why humanity fled Europe in the first place. America has come full circle; we are back in the crap.

  • I fear we are in deep trouble as a so called free nation. I fear America is under attack, and it’s not from a foreign military evasion! I feel this invasion we fear; is here and now, and it’s deeply seeded within our communities, our Domestic affairs, our governing bodies, and our supreme courts of our land.

  • America is being infiltrated by those who support the One World Order. It’s not about America anymore,it’s about dismantling America. Our Government, and the Governments of the world, are being controlled, and directed by an extremely wealthy and powerful few.Their goal is to control our arm forces, our natural resources, the executive, legislative, money, and judicial aspects of our government.Policies are being instituted, for the collapse of America. The reign of thieves is alive & well with in America.

  • I hope he runs for president

  • Next, work on getting rid of DHS. They seem to think Americans are the enemy.

  • No one is listening. The executive branch of the US government is completely out of control.

  • Rawk On, Rand!!! You keep bein' that fly in the ointment by flappin' that US Constitution in Congress faces! Without that precious document as our guide we are no different than other nations. Unfortunately, what we've seen happening steadily over the last 100 years in the U.S.A. has made us more like Europe, etc.,

  • @dave97202 Huckabee is a pathetic sellout rhetoric-spouting Neocon tool. How can you say this??? You need to get your head in the game. You can't have one establishment candidate and a tea party favorite in the same administration. More like Ron Paul/Barry Goldwater. Other VP options—Gary Johnson, Chuck Baldwin, Jesse Ventura, Ralph Nader.

  • @MrDeppness Correct. Huckabee is a Zionist whore.

  • @nesNYC Ha-ha-ha! Wow . . . Yeah, that too.

  • Rand Paul is a great speaker. He is a principled man. He is a trustworthy Senator. He is constitutional, moral and highly intelligent. But he lacks the Ron Paul energy to rally his audience to action. He needs to get a little angrier. Speak a little louder and stomp his feet a little bit. Other than that, I have nothing but pride for Rand and the job he is doing.

  • We love Rand Paul!

  • God love Rand Paul.

  • I am so proud of Rand Paul for standing up, and bring attention to Obama's hypocrisy. Obama is just another errand boy— from a long list of errand boys—who are serving The One World Order, the cronies called The United Nations, and the Progressive’s here in America, whose mind sets serve the Globalist, and secret societies who are controlling Governments around the world. Obama’s statements and actions prove this true—total disregard for our America.

  • @Clint45s Great comment and congrats on knowing how to use the em dash!

  • @MrDeppness

    Big winks....Appreciate

  • @Clint45s You had me until you started going off into silly, paranoid conspiracy theories. Obama is a terrible president but I'm afraid he's terrible in his own right, without anybody else's help.

  • @antodav

Thank you for taking an intrest in what I had to say, but i have to say..I fear we are in deep, serious trouble as a nation, why? Because our constitutional understandings have been bread out of us. We are an ignorant people when it comes to the principles of freedom. Washington, Adams, and Jefferson all cautioned against entangling America back into centuries old reasons why humanity fled Europe in the first place. America has come full circle. America has been sold out, about 150ys Nw

  • It is becoming so obvious, that our Politicians are serving two masters—President Obama got approval from the Emerits, the United Nations, Nato, Everyone associated with the world order—except the most import group he should have consulted—Use, the United States Congress of This America!!!

  • The Zionists will tramp and spit on your constitution any time they feel like. SMH. Americans wake up.

  • rand is absolutely correct.

  • And this, from a president who as a candidate was proudly supported by those who cited his creds as a constitutional scholar. Now in his defense, these same folk would call his remarks "just words."

    LOL

  • @dave97202 Yeah, I'm not really sure if Ron Paul would want to inherit such a daunting task. I still love the man for all of his years of dedication to the people. He is an American legend IMO.

Romney, another machine ticket, just won't do. Let's hope Rand Paul can/will run in 2012!

  • WOW! Excellent Speech!!! A True American. Thank you so much Senator Rand Paul for so eloquently bringing the Truth to Light and for upholding the Constitution to the United States. I give your speech a standing ovation!

  • @deficithawker

    Read Roberts Rules moron.

  • Obama should not use the military for fiascos...and he should be kept away from scissors or sharp objects

  • Frogbounce the despot into oncoming traffic!

  • Rand Paul is the real deal....unlike his kooky father with his nut burger followers...

  • @bw01a - I agree

  • Owebummer should be brought up on charges of Contempt of Congress.

  • This video is fake. Where's the teleprompter?

  • Ron/Rand ticket in 2012!

  • I am growing to admire Rand Paul more with each passing day.

  • @scola91660 Owebummer is acting like a Despot every day.

  • Comb your damn hair!

  • @thereallurker

That was a very deep comment.

  • can anyone dig up Dick Durbin's response to Rand Paul? I want to watch him make an ass of himself.

  • @deficithawker there was no vote you commie fuck

  • @zombiefitnezz Obama started and unpopular war that is unconstitutional and immoral. without consent of congress

  • Dr. Paul made harry ried look like an ass. lawerancw oddenell is pissing in his panse.

  • @tonylee1973

Lawrence O'Donnell is now called "Larry the Fable Guy" :)

  • Pull our military out and send Hannity, McCain, Lindsey Graham, Lieberman and Levin over there to kick ass.

  • The fact that Rand Paul is principled, young AND a good parliamentarian makes for a wicked combination.

  • Senator Paul is the Robert Taft of our time. A true prophet . He deserves the title of Mr. Republican

  • Rand Paul For President

  • I am so proud of Rand Paul for standing up, and bring attention to Obama's hypocrisy. Obama’s statements and actions prove this true.

  • Our Government is a POS!

  • The Paul's have my greatest respect. This man is a true American and would make a fine president, as his father certainly would.

  • @katnap72 He would make a good president but unfortunately he's a rather bland, monotone speaker who flubs his words sometimes. That would be an impediment to his being elected.

  • Beyond the impressive and coherent points made. What is equally impressive, is the fact that he only refers to his notes occasionally or to read quotations. When you speak the truth from your heart, there is no need for a teleprompter.

  • @advieau Yes, Res. 85 did pass unanimously. However, its purpose was to condemn "the gross and systematic violations of human rights in Libya, including violent attacks on protesters demanding democratic reforms, and for other purposes."

What you are quoting is a small portion saying the US urges the *UN* to take further action, potentially incl a no fly zone. It is not Congress authorizing US military action, especially not to our current level of involvement.

  • It sure would be nice if the rest of the Senate was as honest was Paul.

It would also be nice if all these folks complaining about S.Res 85 actually read it and knew what a simple senate resolution is. Simple resolutions are merely stated opinions of the body--not legal action. An "opinion" that condemns Qaddafi and urges the UN to get something in motion is not congressional approval for the president to bomb Libya.

  • We need more people in office like him.

  • @deficithawker Nice try moron. Maybe you should actually READ the resolution. It can be found on thomas dot gov. It URGES the UNITED NATIONS to take action AS MAY BE NECESSARY including POSSIBLE imposition of a no-fly zone. Urging the UNITED NATIONS to do something, is not the same as AUTHORIZING THE U.S. MILITARY to take action. Obama isn't the united nations. Just because you wanna suck him off, doesn't mean the rest of us worship him.

  • I am all for protesting both on Capital hill and in front of the white house for Obama's dismissal from office. I will drive from Kentucky to participate for impeachment. How any Democrats can still support this hypocritical president is just simply pathetic. Without balls. Catering to a world audience while ignoring your own people. You know Egypts own military turned on its old president. Nothing here says that the same can't happen here. Not advocating violence at all, just saying.

  • @OCCatholicDude

Ron or Rand Paul for President. Either one would be an actual leader rather than the current and past worthless presidents.

  • This is an attempted coup hiding in plain sight.

  • Paul for Prez!

  • I'll give Paul credit for this video.

I'll admit I'm disappointed by Obama, yet if you think either Ron or Rand Paul would solve all our problem then you got to ask yourself... Are they asking for real change or all talk?

You could eliminate all discretionary spending (education, EPA, USDA etc.) and we would still run a deficit. The real problem is Medicare, Bush tax cuts, military spending and social security. You didn't see either Paul say no to the tax cuts.

  • @dragonmaster2guy You haven't listened to them enough then. They have both covered these issues extensively. They have both offered up viable solution's to all of those topic's that you listed.

  • @dragonmaster2guy

The Pauls want to BRING THE TROOPS HOME from Iraq, Afganistan, Japan, Korea, Germany, and the rest of the planet. That alone would save half a trillion!

  • @dragonmaster2guy You don't pay for tax cuts. Tax cuts don't contribute to the deficit, spending does. Tax cut is a reduction in revenue, not an increase in spending. Also, many qualified economists, people with masters and PHDs, more than you likely have on the subject, argue that tax cuts actually cause increased revenue, because companies hire more people, and those people can spend money, as well as pay taxes. One person pays less taxes so many can pay more.

  • @dragonmaster2guy I think the better question is, are they really in control? The President is just there to sell you what the men behind the curtain are selling.

  • @dragonmaster2guy You should take the time to look at the visual version of Obama's budget. If you were to do so, you would see that the largest amt of spending goes to social security, medicare/medicaid, national defense, and gvt assistance (welfare etc). The Pauls would solve our budgetary problems b/c they are committed to cutting back all of these things. Do your research. Also tax cuts are not spending. Why not just spend 2x as much and up the tax rate to 50%? Eyeroll.

  • @UBSCARED Silly Obamabot, this resolution doesn't gave king Obama right to attack Libya.

  • @deficithawker So sad you have to resort to such pathetic crass responses, but Rand wasn't even there to object to anything. From the C-SPAN coverage, it took all of 40 seconds to "pass" Resolution 85 without Rand's consent or vote, and there was no debate on it. None. Exactly what he mentions in this video. All it had was 10 cosponsors, one of which was your good liberal buddy Chuck Schumer. Try turning off the MSNBC once in a while, their kool-aid is ruining your juvenile mind.

  • Caesar needs no permission!

  • @deficithawker No, you're the dumb ass for not responding to me in the other video when I called you out on this same lie you're spreading. There was no vote, it was shoved through without debate or official vote by means of "unanimous consent" which is a misnomer because Rand did not approve the resolution in person. FFS, you damn troll, the man wasn't even in D.C. when the resolution passed! Go the f*ck away you piece of human trash!

  • Bravo Mr Paul! What an awesome human being and patriot.

  • He's a little figure that should make you boil with fury: 19% of our national budget goes to pay for all those old war debts.

So, who's next? It's WWIII, one nation at a time.

  • This what empire building looks like. The voice of the people are never heard and those that are to represent them are also never heard nor consulted.

The very fact that our Congress isn't holding press conferences and screaming "tyranny" at the top of their lungs, proves once again that they do not represent We The People but rather, The Military Industrial Banking Complex who always loves a good war at our expense with loans that will require been paid-back decades after the war is over.

  • Impeach Obama!

  • @leahbeth:

A resolution ASKING THE UN TO ACT is not the same as committing (with or without UN consent) american troops to a war effort. nice try though.

  • So is congress going to breach their oath to defend and uphold the constitution by not taking proper action on this unconstitutional breach by the president or are they going to uphold their oath and begin impeachment proceedings? $600 million in public debt created already. You do realize you can be held personally liable and 14th amendment bounty can be put against you all to repay this public debt you all created? All your assets can be taken to repay this and you lose any immunity over this!

  • As I did before Iraq, I have much doubt about our involvement in Libya. I want to hear rational congressional PsOV. I want to hear what the president has to say in response to Sen. Paul.

  • On March 1st the U.S. Senate passed a resolution (S.Res.85) by UNANIMOUS CONSENT regarding Libya requesting the UN to impose a No Fly Zone in Libya. Rand Paul did NOT object to the resolution. Rand Paul is a hypocrite and liar.

  • @leahbethm

No you're just a moron, that can parrot MSNBC propaganda. The Pauls aren't neocon fuck tards like Bush/Obama.

  • @leahbethm

The Senate unanimously passing a resolution requesting the U.N. to impose a no-fly zone means the U.S. *ASKS* the U.N. to impose a no-fly zone.

Where does it clearly state that it authorizes the President to participate in the conflict and to send U.S. troops?

The U.S., while it is a member, *IS NOT* the U.N.; Congress still must decide whether or not it'll commit U.S. resources and personnel to the U.N. effort to impose a no-fly zone.

That's why it counts to be specific.

  • @leahbethm

So, while Senator Paul may agree with ASKING the U.N. to impose a no-fly zone, agreeing to ask the U.N. to take action is not the same as asking the U.S. President to commit resources in the conflict.

You are out of line to call Senator Paul a "hypocrite and liar."

  • Spot on. His remarks go beyond conservative/progressive/liberal values. They're American values.

  • I propose a million man march if rand paul runs for office..one million people gathered in support in DC. IM in

  • This should have 500 million hits

  • Comment removed

  • @advieau And your point is? It says nothing about granting power to the president to send our troops over there and get involved with this. The president MUST bring it before congress and obtain permission of congress first, period!

  • Comment removed

  • @advieau I don't believe that members of Congress read that provision as giving their authorization for the use of military force based on a hypothetical conclusion that may or may not be reached by the UN Security Council.
