  • Great beginner tips. Cash for Your Used Digital Cameras

  • simple but informative, thank you.

  • nicely done, Brian ... I've just sent this off to my son who is showing an interest in photography too. thank you.

  • ISO means International Standard Organization. Formerly ASA & Din. ASA is American Standard Organization & Din is the abbreviation for the German standard.

  • @alfonestacio that's for quality management and stuff, in photography it's something different.

  • Richard Petty?? Trololol!!

  • old people are the best teachers...

  • I have a Nikon cool-pix L120 21x optical zoom does mine has anything manual on it?

  • @haileyscomet803 Only iso setting when you select auto scen and go in menu to adjust pixels and presents and iso settings

  • International Standards Organization used to be ASA (american)

  • Dear Everyone stay tuned to Hayman's work through his fan page on facebook .. (Ahmed Hayman Photography )

He manages it by himself so you can interact with him throught it.

    Thanks

  • Very helpful!

Even people (like me) with little knowledge about the Englisch language can understand what the photographer says because he speaks so slowly and clearly.

    Thank you very much!

  • I got a Canon Rebel XS for Christmas. So far it's been great for getting started. I've taken about 800 pictures already, mostly just playing around. I'm glad I have this cleared up so there's a method to my madness, so to speak. Thanks!

  • can anybody name me good cameras with all the stuff on it??? :)

  • is a Sony DSC-H50 any good?

  • wow!

I thank you for sharing this information,

I have a Nikon coolpix L100, which is nowhere near really good,

so if I would like to move for a better camera, any suggestions anyone?

  • Please recommend a camera and light meater , I deam of doing this , I am really a beginner and just have point and shoot .

  • he is right, practice makes perfect.

  • Great advice thanks.

  • ISO - international standards organization. taken from the greek "isos", meaning equal........

  • Its usefull

  • Is this guy even a photographer ??? He doesn`t even know how to say ISO, Sutter Speed and Aperture correctly! This guy is a douche !

  • @DyZzO It doesn't matter how you say things, its the work that matters.

  • @fghjklp23 It matters when you teach ppl. If you can't speak ... stfu and stick to photography.

  • @DyZzO Indeed it does.

  • thx

  • thank you!

  • trying to watch this without my specs... I think he's the fat one on the left.

  • i like this man:D

  • Thank you! Very informative.

  • Nice =D

  • You are actually wrong on both counts:

First, It's clear in the video that he means shutter speed when he says "speed of the exposure".

Second, the light meter built into your camera is quite limited in functionality, a separate light meter is very useful, especially for studio photography.

You should do *your* research before making negative comments.

  • @jaxtherogue : No, you're the one who's wrong. If you want to teach you MUST learn to use proper terms: speed of the exposure is a thing, shutter speed is another thing. I'm a teacher, I take money from courses and I don't want to puzzle people.

Second: all the best photographers agree that the external meter is useless (I used 2 times in my life because the model wasn't available), if you position it wrong the metering is false (inverse square law) while the camera can't miss!

  • @jaxtherogue When I said I hate when the top rated comments are replies, this isn't what I meant. '-'

  • great video, great info, and (ehhrmm!) great model in the sample pics! =)

  • Wow thank you this helped and cleared things up a lot for me. I hope my photography skills improve, buy practicing and remembering these methods.

  • Thanks

  • Richard Petty.

    Like the Nascar driver.

  • This is a great educational video, and look foward to viewing the rest of your tutorials regarding Photography. Thank you.

  • This video is brilliant

  • Thanks!

  • "ISO" stands for International Standards Organization, which replaced "ASA", the American Standards Association.
