Newton really only rediscovered what the Ancients already knew about the heavens. In reality there is no time, just the preception of it. Each present moment within our Universe is different from the last. The Universe is constantly readjusting itself through the interaction of the strong and weak forces within the Universe. There is no past and the future is just potential of what the energies held with our universe can become. Our Lives are an infinite series of present moments.
In this way I believe that Newton is possibly one of the most influential persons in the history of humanity. Along with Jesus Christ and possibly Genghis Kahn, Newton has had an indescribably huge effect on the way humanity has evolved. It's humbling to think that we realise this now, and will never be able to make those people realise who they are. What if someone goes back in time and stops one of these people existing? Then the world instantly changes from that point onward.
Thats a bit ritch, saying that the catholic church was responsable for the most significant contribution to science there has been ,,,N0, The catholic church kiled endless scollars and plunged the world into darkness by burning the library of alexandria. TO THIS DAY ARGUABLY THE WORST CRIME AGAINST LEARNING AND HUMANITY IN HISTORY...please google.-Hypatia first recognised female mathamatician. she had 'the flesh scraped from her bones' by st Cyryl and the Nitrian monks.
This would also implie that the future has not gained too much in intelligence since they have not learnt to come back in their past and inform us about time travel...;-D
Past, Present and Future exist. these are the last words of this piece of video. it seems true for Macroscopic objects, but is it also true for Microscopic object? can one tell where the electron will be in next moment? in time reversal will the electron be back on its initial position? we have no precision at microscopic level, just some guesses.
Apparently Quantum Mechanics and general relativity have conflicting notions of time, quantum models can be reworked to make time unnecessary, so on the quantum scale time does not exist, so time must not be a fundamental feature of the universe.

If space and time are relative, then to see a whole space or object, shouldn't you see a whole time or time object, in other words, if you see the whole of earth, you should see the whole of the time on that area, but in other for that to happen, you must see the whole earth, all sides of it at once, impossible but it is said in the fifth dimension you can see all points of a third dimension object hence in the fifth dimension if you see every spacial object you see every time intriguing.
So in theory if you adapted to life on a planet with a stronger gravitational field you would live longer, age slower, and become physically stronger.
So, going beyond our own dimensional veiwpoint there should be a way to "travel" in the "opposite" direction of the speed of light. And have time travel very slowly. I guess in theory that would be a Black hole, because it causes particles to move very slowly.
@Jahan917 A black hole has an incredibly strong gravitational force. In order for particles to move very slowly in or around it, it would need to have a very weak gravitational force.
@jayfulf No at some point those particles that speed up slow down and stop moving all together, that's why it would appear to an outside observer that you were moving very quickly, while in in your perspective it would seem you weren't moving, but all this is just speculation to begin with.
