@lehfedgroup Yes I do. I am Lebanese/Canadian and I don't need to overwhelm you with my credentials. I am sorry but you need to take basic music theory, ear training and orchestration courses before delving into composition. Not every kind of music can have a place in Christian worship. It has its standards and yours is way below.
@azizuccio I truly appreciate your honest opinion and I don't mind being overwhelmed with your credentials if you don't mind telling what they are. I love communicating with musicians
@lehfedgroup I am a Maronite and I graduated from USEK with a BA in Musicology before coming to the US and Canada. I can read and write syriac and I took classes in Arabic music theory. I enjoy all types of music but my specialty is in 20th century post-tonal theory. I am not a big fan of Arabic music but I do have a good ear to distinguish between the good and the bad.
Did u study music ? If yes, how many years ? Which classes did u take ?
@azizuccio I'm glad to hear of your background. when where you at the Usek? I have many friends who've been involved with the USEK's musical department and the Choir there for years. can you tell me what your name is?
I have taken a few courses of music in college in the area of voice training and choir direction, and was credited by faculty from the Berkeley Music of College in Boston with an A passing grade. my musical experience dates to over 20 years
@lehfedgroup It's good to hear that you took courses at Berklee. Which classes did u take ? It's a very good college and well known for it's jazz program.
I was at USEK from 1999 to 2003. I graduated with Carla Ramia, Abir Nehme, Gilbert Rahbani, Antoine Maalouf, Marc Kanaan, Patrick Abi Dergham, Lena Farah, Nizar Fares, etc....Our choir director was Fr. Milad Taraby (Choir master of Alsawt al 3atiq) and Harout Fazlian (the conductor of the Lebanese symphony).
I took courses in voice & choir training and was credited by faculty from Berklee . I know the people you mentioned. as a matter of fact there are at least 8 relatives/friends of mine that belong to sawt al 3atiq. i had attended a couple of their rehearsals in Jbeil a couple of years ago. i was wondering how you found about my music. what were you searching for?
since you're not a big fan of arabic music and from Baabdat (Charabaty), do you like Abdo Korbany's or Milad Tarbay's music better?
@lehfedgroup I did help Abdo recording his last CD which was arranged by Georges Melki. Abdo is not a good composer but Georges was a good arranger and he did a good job embelleshing the melodies.Fr. Tarabay is an excellent musician and he was convincing me (when I was his student) to become a member of his choir but as I said before I am not really a big fan of Arabic music. My favorite Leb composer (sacred music) is Jean Michel Labaky (NOT Mansour Labaky) but I don't think u heard of him.
I'm old enough to learn of Jean Labaki, (God rest his soul). as a matter of fact i love the glorious music he did for "Al Majdu lillah". he's famous for polyphonic arrangements. I love Fr. Tarabay's music. It's one of my favorite new church music compositions. I have all his CD's and soon hell have a new one.
it seems we have lots of friends in common. hope to meet you someday.
HAHAHAH
What the heck was that ??? Is this supposed to be a religious music ? This is total rubbish.

@azizuccio Great. I'm looking to work with musicians.
what do you suggest to do with this piece of music?
would you arrange it differently?
also, what's your experience with Lebanese Christian music?
what type of music do you like?
