The chorus is extremely tragic now that I know the subject matter of the rest of the song. It sounded silly and out of place before, but NOW it's up there with the "death of Aeris" theme.

Rhapsody's music must be taken litterally! If you listen to their first music, and you follow the order until theirs last cd (avoiding of course some collector edition, or repeating cases), you will see that it is one big story that they are singing. It's like a big fantasy story, as lord of the ring, Game of thrones, Forgotten Realm or Dragon Lance.

But they are singing all this, one and big fantastic journey.

I love the keyboard in the intro, and the solo is one of my all-time favorite Rhapsody solos. Great song, definitely a lot more epic and intense than you'd expect a song called "The Last Winged Unicorn" to be. Then again, all the unicorn stuff is just a metaphor for lost innocence (that's how I interpret it, at least) and the song isn't actually about a magic flying horse, making it even more awesome!

@Gigatronthepwn Tis what all fantasy is about : metaphors. A lyrical way to describe things. The unicron is a mythical horse that only a pure maid could ride. Pure, and Innocent. Fantasy is just full of symbols. Rhapsody is a fantasy band :) Doesn't mean they have nothing to say : they just express it in a different manner.
