there could be a lot of reasons for that, it could be to make it easier for hayley to sing..higher notes can strain your voice if you do it too often. it could also be so they don't have to retune the guitars.

@candiimandii001 I totally agree. My 15 year old daughter turned me on to them and I have to say, I haven't seen a femal performer with such a great voice and stage precence. In fact the entire band is so amazing for their ages. The scary thing is if they are this talented at this point in their career, the best is yet to come. They are going to be one of these bands that people will compare to all the greats.

You should think before you speak. I am sharing my opinion. I believe she is easily one of the most talented singers I have ever heard, she is the image of Paramore, the only reason I listen to them is because her voice is amazing. The rest are talented but most of the value is in the singer. If one of the instrumental musicians were to leave they could easily replace them and the band would be no different. If they replaced the singer the band would be dead.

They do have a very good drummer, but with everything else, if they wished to replace the drummer they could. I have played with multiple drummers myself, and I don't find it so different. New music might change but songs already made would be able to be learned. Rancid changed drummers a few times, but he wasn't a core member really. the personality of the band remained unaffected.

Rancid is different, lars frederiksen and matt freeman are a big part of the band. They all sing and are exceptionally good at their instruments and take over lead from time to time. as well as with tim, it just wouldn't be the same without one of them. they have been through 3 drummers I believe, maybe 2 i don't remember fully, and played with back up drummers many times i'm sure.
