I would Not say better than depeche mode. However, De/vision are a great electronic band. Come on...you cannot top Dave's singing tone and Martin's. DM's composing songs have more feeling. Depeche Mode are the kings of electronic music. Any electronic band would say that, even De/vision.

Wenn die Plattenfirma mal etwas Geld in die Hand nehmen würde, könnte das durchaus im Radio (selbst bei all den Ignoranten) funktionieren. Toller Song. Einfach gestrickt und mit einer Melodie, die im Ohr bleibt. Der Refrain läßt sich leicht merken und mitsingen. Also alles, was man für einen Hit benötigt.

@deCalli: "erzeugerseitig" sind die "Ignoranten" VST-orientiert, weil das am wenigsten Arbeit macht. Ich war selbst eine zeitlang auf dem Trip, weil ich mir gesagt hatte, das ein VST ja nicht schlechter klingen kann als ein externer Synthesizer, bis ich gemerkt hatte, da aus einem VST größerer Bullshit herauskommt selbst als aus einem DSP-betriebenen Gerät. Das Revival des Spops, wenn der Techno-Fraktion das VST- und 303-Geleiere zum Hals raushängt, denn einen nächsten Schritt gibt es nicht.

Du solltest Vermarktung nicht Produktion verwechseln.

Und wie es auch sein mag. Wichtig ist, was dabei rauskommt, nicht WIE es gemacht wird. Oder glaubst du dem normalen Hörer fällt es auf, ob der Basssynth aus nem Plugo oder Hardwaresynth kommt ? Mit Sicherheit nicht. :)

@dudo101 VST´s -sind- -einfach- -Scheiße-. a) Verbrauchen teilweise (man sehe den Jupiter8-V) CPU-Leistung, das es knallt, b) die meisten VST´s, vor allem die freien, wurden mit ein und demselben Programm erstellt (in der Regel gibts da nur 3-4 Auswahlmöglichkeiten), somit kannst Du davon ausgehen, das viele VSTs den Klang eines anderen haben; c) zum kreativ arbeiten sind VSTs einfach nichts. Ich hab hier ein Gerät, Regler, von denen ich weiß, was sie machen. Was hab ich auf dem TFT?

Aber wie gesagt, ich als "Ausführender" habe es in der Hand, wie lange mein Stück beim Klienten Anklang findet und um das zu erreichen, ist die Komposition "eins" und die Umsetzung der Komposition der andere Part. Niemand würde sich freiwllig Midi-Files durch einen schlechten Wavetable-Synthesizer abgenudelt anhören. Wenn es denn -passt- und die "Klientel" anspricht, ist es gut. Wenn nicht, besteht handlungsbedarf.

Dem kann ich nur 100% zustimmen!! Der Track ist mehr als charttauglich, der Track hat einfach alles! Frage ist, ob wir Fans das denn überhaupt wollen.... Oder diesen Geheimtipp De/Vision der uns so ans Herz gewachsen ist nicht lieber für uns behalten wollen.....!

Ich möchte "Time to be alive" jedenfalls nicht aus Handyspeakern irgendwelcher Teenies in der U-Bahn hören...
