  • This was my all time favourite album of Family's and of my teenage years. Saw them live just after they released Music In A Dolls House, then again immediately after Family Entertainment. Glynn Johns produced MIADH. I felt that they never quite managed its magic again.

  • Am I the only person from the US who knows about this criminally neglected band(at least over here)?

  • @MrMikej413

I hope not Mike. Just look at the views on YT. Criminal is the ONLY word. How many artists copied them:; Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, even Jimi Hendrix. What a fantastic band.

  • best group ever to come from Leicester, showaddywaddy were crap and therefore dont count and they were rubbish

  • This was the first album I ever owned, eventually had to buy this on CD... I wore out two vinyls!

  • @xwinguk My first album also, back in late 60"s. My fav track was "The Breeze"

  • Is that the Peoples court theme in the beginning.

  • Still one of my favourite LP's of all time. Big fan of theirs in the late 60's. They seemed to appear in the North East every other week. Probably didn't but thats what memories are for. But I did see them loads and loads.

  • GOD!!! so long since I heard this though wasnt a great fan of theirs 'back in the day' cant remember why

  • I had the vinyl record in 1974, used to play it loud

  • This album is a little gem, which I could never get my friends here in N. America to enjoy or appreciate. Belongs right up there with in the Court of The Crimson King, Selling England by the Pound and Fragile.

  • I don't suppose you could post 'Old Songs, New Songs'? It is not on Youtube.

  • Little wonder why Grech was drafted to be a part of Blind Faith. Family was very popular in UK & throughout Europe.at the time

  • one of their masterpieces!

  • The outstanding track from an outstanding and extraordinary debut album.

  • Thanxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx for post Classic non plus ultra
