Good job! Have relatively short hair, and i wet wrap it by slicking it all backafter adding all the necessary treatments and wear a taut stocking to sleep. In d morning comes out all straight.

Thanks for the video. I've been going to the hairdressers for years. If I get a wet wrap every single one of them has used a rat tooth comb. You use the comb that's appropriate for the style.

It does take perserverence. My hair only reaches the bottom of my neck and I still have a hard time. But I seen a tutorial of a lady who's hair is ultra long, and she can do it. The lady who does the Saran Wrap tutorial. I wish this video showed from start to finish like the others. People have different ways of wrapping, and would have loved to see the finish product to this wrap!

Blarneyindian, I don't think there is really anything to do to get "ultra long" hair. I think its all in the genes. If your mom and other women in your family don't have long hair, you can't just get your hair to grow that long. I have long hair, but all the women in my family do. Best you can do is take care of the hair to keep it from breaking, but it's not going to grow if long hair isn't in your family lineage.

Thanks for the reply, but I had no idea not all women can't grow long hair due to genetics. I know that sometimes a person balds due to genetics.

My maternal grandmother and some, if not all, her sisters used to a long time ago wear hair long enough to sit on it, or close enough to it. My mom, she can grow long hair, but as long as I been around, she wears it not long past the shoulder, like barely below it.

I totally agree sexiimamii. When you say you have to have long hair in your genes is nonsense. I'm from a family with not the best type of hair, however i managed to grow mine 16inches. No white, indian or whatever so called genetics they are talking about. Hair is not equipped for all the process we put it through such as heat and chemical process or all sorts of crap we put in our hair. Of course we gonna lose double the amount we are supposed to shed by all these processes. My tip.

Please ignore asm. Genetics has nothing to do with the fact you can't get your hair past neck. It's probably b/c you either...

a) relax too much (every month is too much)

b)put too much heat/chemicals

c)you don't wash with good shampoo & conditioner or moisturize your hair

WOW, great answer and right on the money. People not being able to grow long hair due to genetics is a myth. Yes I do think that genetics has something to do with your health and health does play a part in hair growth. But that can be fixed through taking the steps to combat that problem. If anemia runs in the family then take more iron, iron is good for the hair as well as zinc. Exercise, water and frequent washing/moisturizing. Short hair is a result of dry constantly breaking ends.

If you know how to wrap properly, long hair isn't impossible to do. My hair is an inch above my bra clasp, and with practice I was able to do it just fine. It just takes practice! :o)
