These kinds of news interviews (when events like these are first unfolding) often frustrate me because there is nothing that the witnesses can say to confirm anything one way or the other. Yet, on the other hand, I completely understand how (the witness in this case) is at a complete loss as to how to explain what happened. I guess what I feel, is the complete helplessness that the people must have felt in the bldgs. @ the time. It's amazing how it still affects me this long after. Truly tragic.
I was 3 turning 4 in little less then 2 weeks my mom watched this the whole time...I was playing....I'm glad this is on because it's history we lived but don't remember..
Hardly important given the events that day, but just an observation: most people will have flicked to CNN or another network when Matt Lauer tells viewers they don't have the picture of the WTC at that time. I'm surprised there wasn't a power surge from people turning over to watch 'breaking story at the WTC' on a different network, rather than wait until after the commercial break.
@FanOfPopCulture to be fair matt say he didn't want to admitted at first cause he didn't belive him self and didn't want to worry the families that day
I was in 1st grade. They got the entire elementary school out of class, sat us down in the commons, and had us watch. We saw when the second tower fell. A lot of parents were mad that we had seen. But, I don't know... I'm glad they showed us, I'm glad I saw.
@SocialAssasin, wow after a million sperm and somehow you made it through! I'm truly amazed but then again , there's many retards on here who just don't get it. Your mama must of been proud. One more thing, may you all die like bitches and burn in hell :)
Wow, I feel old! I was 19 when it happened. I had an ethnic studies class and my professor talked about the Pentagon attack, but I didn't know about the WTC attack, till I got back to my dorm.
It's all so horrible what happened...but when it breaks away from the images and goes to Katie and Matt it's like...wow it's old-seeming now...10 yrs...but it still seems like it was just like, 1 or 2 years ago.
Since, Obama was elected, Ive watched this coverage on NBC,a few times, simply because Im very aware of how the subsequent ripple effect of how this government MIS-handled the entire 911 debacle, gave birth to President Obama...he may not have known it, just as we may not know it...but I think its true. His predecessor, RUINED any credibility that this nation may have had, before 9/11...Obama's job is to reinvigorate US Nationalism, now.
these two creeps katie and matt............i feel sorry..........when the shit hits the fan....both of you are going to be the first for beheading...........hinding the truth to the earth republic is death. give up your townhouses, homes and million dollar salaries..........all in vain.............the cheerleader and rat face will be the first to experience retribution for lies and deceit...........sorry...never liked both of you anyway.
I remember hearing My Mom screaming, I ran up grabbed my bat and went into the living room, I remember watching this and her crying, that is something you can't forget
I was only 10 in the fourth grade all the way in Australia, and I woke up to my mother on the phone, gasping as the footage of the collapse was shown. All day and all night for three-ish days there was no cartoons, there was no comedy, there was nothing remotely entertaining. Being 10, I DID understand what had happened, but I couldn't be stuffed thinking about it. Now, coming up to ten years since then, all the then kids are a lot wiser about it all because we understand it now.
I was 12. I played hooky that day and we ended up in the game room of the boys and girls club. My friend turned on the T.V. and there it was... My first reaction was like oh man who bombed it? Then I said Where's John Mcclane? Aww man, that day was just cold and gloomy.
i remember everything that day...i was 11 and our teacher took us down to the asembly hall and there was alot of teachers just watching the tv obv because we wer all very young at the time we didnt really understand but we could tell that something was seriously not right. and a just remember us all sitting watching the tv until the school day ended..i'm from scotland and the whole world was just at a complete stand still it's so sad and my heart goes out to those whos lost their lives that day.
I was in 4th grade when it happened. I remember being in the car on my way to school and they were talking about it on the radio. They still had no idea what was really going on. The teachers didn't tell the kids what was going on because they didn't want to worry us, but we could tell something was up because of the fact that they just seemed so different. When they were teaching, they seemed so distracted. It wasn't until we all got home from school that we realized what had happened.
CLINTON not Obama was to be NEXT and LAST PRESIDENT "elected". Script modified because systemic collapse forced launch of Financial Armageddon against Russia.
Sheep, even if you are already in the slaughterhouse, it's never TOO LATE to understand that: TRUTH is NEVER TOO HORRIBLE.
I remember I was 6 or 7, and my father drove me and my sister home from school. (I'm from Norway) We had the radio on, but didn't really pay attention. Then suddenly my father almost lost control of the car for one moment and told us to be quiet. And I remember it was a catastrophe, and people were afraid and sad, but I didn't understand completely what had happened.
I was sleeping at the time, I was a college student. My mom called me for a good five minutes from downstairs before I went to see what she wanted. When she told me, I just ran back too my room and turned on the tv. I was in complete shock and wouldn't stop crying from the images.
Even now, I remember those firefighters running back into the building and trying to rescue more people after the first tower collapsed. God Bless them, and God Bless America.
If it was an inside job...it wouldn't have been the World Trade Center. More like smaller or less significant buildings like Pan Am in SF or Sears Tower in Chicago.
i was 11, and stupid as hell. i was a class clown jokin on the pilot for bein a moron, but when i figured it out i couldnt take my eyes off the sky for a week... I'll never forget.... and there was only like one channel on TV for a week.
I was 26...I flew out to LA on Flight 175 in late August and returned to Boston late in the evening on September 10, 2001. I was talking to the flight crew and asked them if they were returning to LA--they said theirs was a Boston-based crew and the LA contingent would fly out tomorrow on this plane. I was one of the last few people to leave that actual physical plane alive. Took a long time to come to grips with the events of the day.
@dementieva12 clearly, that was the most terrifying part of the clip. Reminded me so much of what my brain was processing, that day, as I watched it happen on NBC. I can remember the hair on my arms standing up. It felt like my skin was crawling and I remember thinking that this is what the essence of evil is all about...a TOTAL disregard for human life. I was completely NUMB watching this.
hey! i was 5 too!! i was a little boy in kindergarten in school when this happened. i live in Queens, NY so i saw smoke. i remember the teachers closing the covers of the windows and looking shocked. then, later that day, the teacher asked if we had family members who work there. i remember 5 or 6 people raising their hands. they could have lost their parents that day.

oh wow, you were younger and still are able to remember that day. apparently, i had gone around saying there was a bomb, cuz i didnt know what was happening, no one would tell me either. I have no memory of this though.
