@RottenRroses They have an internal RAM like memory which stores the game that you downloaded. Because they use RAM, you would lose the game when you switch off the Intellivision or Genesis. So, you can only download one game at a time.
Excellently done. I just replayed it for my little brother, who until today did not know that there was online gaming prior to 2000. Great video even on mute!
If I didn't already have a Super Famicom BSX Satellaview, I'd likely be the buyer if someone else eBay'd one. ;) Also, Morita Shogi only finally started going out of stock a few years ago right after I ordered it for nearly nothing. Maybe it was a price mistake, but I also got a second copy of Wonder Project J2 w/the bundled Memory Pak for under $20; the first one I found BOXED at a US flea market-no joke.
you forgot the Satelaview for the super famicom

Where did they save downloaded games on the Intellivision or the Genesis? They don't have a hard drive, do they?

Did you forget BSX Satellaview? Also, some game carts had built-in modems, like that Shogi Chess game for N64 (I still have a sealed units of both).

Great silent movie. :) Seriously, it was a great job. I knew there had been a modem for the Genesis, but didn't know about the NES having one.
5 stars! :)
