  • thumbs up if you want a remake of Tokata's song in the next Super Smash Bros.

  • Anyone looked in Pikmin2? :| I suddenly want to go play it and find this little song XD;;;

  • Taken from NinDB

The Canadian Copyright Office requests that companies submit lists of staff with each submission, which includes videogames. Nintendo has submitted their staff lists since 1992, but they haven't highlighted the capacity each member works in. Kazumi Totaka has been credited for the following games:

    F-1 Race (GB)

    Tetris & Dr. Mario

It's possible his role in these games was not prominent, but it's also possible that the song is hidden away in them.

  • gameboy camera. What are you running from?

  • NOTE you can find totakas song in yoshis story for the wii, but it goes of at two minuets

  • as it is called the game the minute 0:11

  • For the Frog The Bell Tolls is amazing, I love it<3

  • damn i though i found it in pokemon white...

  • Video: like

    Music: dislike xD

    btw 6:10 "The Weegee's Mansion"?

  • Ah Nintendo! You never cease to amaze us.

  • Ooh great video. I read about this track and decided to google it to see whether I recognized this, and as soon as I clicked this I recognized one of my favorite tracks from Animal Crossing

  • I think its amazing that anyone could piece these together. Would it have possibly happened without the internet?

  • This is awesome, and its really nostalgic, kinda like your childhood is followin' you, and this is amazing. :D

  • in wii sports just wait a while after a strike in bowling

i never tried it but some people said it works

  • I appreciate your nerdiness

  • While the video is one that was made by an American

  • Is the search even still on?

I remember watching these videos when I was a kid and always hoping that someone would find a new/old and exciting way of finding the famous tune. But alarse, my dreams never came true. (If you don't consider the new version of the gameboy game "X", that is)

  • It's in Animal Crossing City Folk.

  • Would it not be easier to just watch the credits find his name then look for the song?

  • @sleepy255555 As opposed to... what?

  • @PhilBond nevermind just finished the other parts of the video great job

  • For the Frog the Bell Tolls recently received an English fan translation. One of the main characters, "Richard", is the very same Richard from Link's Awakening whose house is full of frogs.

Side note: My name is also Richard.

  • @maximumguy64 Mine too. I've never felt so special in all my life!

  • God... I thought you was going to make us wait for the Mario Land 2 one..

  • it's in pikmin 2.

  • any luck with the hunt or did you since then give up?

its not in smash bros brawl, i can say that

  • @jrmommy yeah. I was kinda mind blown too. Guess they were still working on the american version but the n64 was done and then just ported it to gamecube. Much like twilight princess on gamecube and wii.

  • It's in Luigi's Mansion! When starting a game, play until the controls screen comes up.

Wait around 3 minutes, and a jazzy version will play! :D

  • 6:54 are you using a Japanese GBA SP or an American one?

  • @scoobydude51 American. All Nintendo portables prior to the DSi were free of region restrictions.

  • THERE IS AN N64 VERSION FOR ANIMAL CROSSING!?

  • @jrmommy Only in Japan.

  • ILLUMINATI

  • Chugaaconroy has found the secret tune in Pikmin 2 and in Luigi's Mansion, he shows them on the first or second episode of his Let's Plays on the games

  • @DarkTiger83 He didn't find it, and neither did I when I mentioned the same thing in a video four years ago. You Chugga Conroy fans have a weird "hero worship" thing going on.

  • In Mario Paint, Mario was afraid of the song

  • WKOW-27! Madison's ABC!

  • Oh Pikmin2 Get 20 of each pikmin and walk around. They sing it

  • @toontownguy666 That's a different song.

  • @PhilBond Woops

  • @PhilBond How about after you complete a cave And wait 2 minutes or 3 and a different SHORT song comes up

  • @toontownguy666 Watch my other videos. I mentioned this.

  • i tried this in the wii version of animal crossing and it worked.

  • Anyone else notice how K.K.'s full name, Totakeke, is similar to Totaka? Just change the a to an e and add "ke" to Totaka, and you've got Totakeke. Very clever.

  • @krourou2

He mentions it in the video -_-

  • Christian Bale.

  • Wow, I never knew this! Honestly, the first time I heard the song was from K.K. Song in Animal Crossing

  • I messed around in Animal Crossing and typed in K.K. Song. THIS SCARED THE SHIT OUTTA ME!! I was like ten at the time, though.

  • Does it work in the frog house in awakening DX? I have it on my 3ds and want to try.

  • @smashbrosfan1007 It totally does work on the 3ds! I rediscovered it completely on accident by leaving my game open while answering a phone and I totally remembered that secret!

  • I remember that when I heard it in Link's Awakening. I thought I'd unlocked some kind of secret and spent ages trying to work out what it was...

  • Just heard it in Link's Awakening on my 3DS. It's so cool how many of my favorite games this guy sneaked this tune into.

  • love everything about this easter egg/secret. nintendo are better than microsoft and sony because they not only create their own hardware, but also their own software and series as a whole. you can tell that there is still a huge amount of passion and love of games at the heart of what the company does, where as competitors are just trying to make as much money as possible. nintendo knocked one out of the park AGAIN at E3 this year, and god am i happy they did.

  • IN Luigi's Mansion, in the begining when it asks what controls you want, wait for 3 minutes and it will play:)

  • The one in yoshi story freaked me out as a kid. I thought something was going to pop out at me or the game was going to crash. it was just so... out there.

  • u dunno why but this song screams Banjo Kazooie/tooei :S

  • @joetri10 i*

  • OMG! u actually found the Yoshie's story one by accident ages ago xD.. I never took much notice to what it was about. Xp

  • Pikmin 2: Complete the first cave with all treasures then wait on the Cave Complete! screen for about 2.45 minutes.

Luigis Mansion: Wait on the control screen for about 3 minutes.

  • @ToonYoshi1 I wonder where you got that news from

    (cough, chuggaconnroy cough)

  • @joetri10 LolWho?

  • @ToonYoshi1 ^_-

  • @joetri10 No really. Who is this guy.

  • @ToonYoshi1 You may suffer amnesia but your channel doesn’t xD

  • @joetri10 Hurdur

But Chugga is doing a Luigi's Manision LP? ._.

  • @ToonYoshi1 hes doing both Lm and Pikmin 2 lol.. thats how you knew

  • @joetri10 Oh.

I didnt give a crap about the LM, I was waiting for him to do pikmin 2 so I ignored LM.

  • @ToonYoshi1 hmmmm...

  • i remember when i was a kid i was playing yoshi story that song came up it scared the crap out of me it took years for me to work up the courage to play that game again...

  • I watched this video because of Chuggaaconroy lol.

  • @jordanthemonkey8 lawl me to :3 I knew about it just not how to spell it thanks to chugga for spelling it :B

  • Has no one yet said that you look like a nerdy Cillian Murphy?

    Yeah

  • Has anyone else noticed whenever you have to wait you almost always have to wait 2 minutes and 30 seconds?

  • Nerds like you........

...i love so much. Are you into dudes? I'm a dude. I'm so into you. And this bit of information. Mmmmm

  • @okiva77 Sadly, no. Not into dudes. Very flattered, though. :)

  • @PhilBond Well I am officially a girl into you over this, because it is pure awesome.

  • hnbfv

  • The first time i heard it was in yoshi's story. I was eating dinner when i heard the song change suddenly. Me and my bro just stared at the TV like O__o

  • Luigi's mansion isn't hidden... he whistles it... all the time

  • @Connorkaze26 No... he doesn't... ever

  • @PhilBond

He does whistle something very similar, but not quite this tune

  • @Connorkaze26 That is the Luigi's Mansion theme silly

  • @Connorkaze26 it's in the control pick screen wait about 3 minutes and it starts

  • @Connorkaze26 He does not. He whistles the main theme of it.

  • @Connorkaze26 He whistles the theme dude.

  • @Connorkaze26 No... he whistles the theme of Luigi's mansion...... Totaka's song is hidden on the screen with the controls at the very beginning of the game right before you get the vaccum.

  • @Connorkaze26 He whistles the Luigi's mansion theme

  • Man, I SWEAR I had discovered the song in Pikmin 2 first! Unfortunately it was before I had even known what it was! I had also discovered it in Yoshi's Story before knowing about it, but I'm not sure if I was the first. I hadn't noticed that these two songs were similar, I had just thought that they were simply easter eggs.

  • Comment removed

  • i never knew that it originated from animal crossing, i just thought it was always a mario paint song

  • @Guitarmaster7272 Totaka's Song didn't originate from Animal Crossing. The earliest game discovered to have this song is X for the Game Boy.

  • The game X had it and that was around since before Mario Paint

  • @floooooooooooooooood Never mind he mentions that in the second video. My my this is an old video now.

  • La camiseta del aurinegro mi equipo viva tachira 4:18

  • I like the feel and look of this show. kinda 90ish

  • theres another one in Animal Crossing City Folk, if you sit on the bus long enough the captain might start whistling it. it may also be in the DS version but im not too sure, i havent played it.

  • I used to have the Japanese version of Awakening (because I was born in Japan), but I lost it... seeing this now, I MUST FIND IT

  • I've got wario land for Virtual Boy, any suggestions on where I should start looking?

  • @gmanx95 On the end screen that appears after the credits, the track plays after a minute and 15 seconds

  • I found this in pokemon when I was little and I thought the game broke

  • for people wondering Phil Bond is still around

    I just saw him watch?v=Ypj8Ok5II-Q at 01:45

  • I found that song in city folk but he didnt give it to me!

  • hidden music?

  • Make moar vids =P

  • you have to wait 2 minutes in almost all games xD

  • As this theme loops over and over again, everything feels strangely empty, you look outside to see nothing but wast darkness, you feel strangely awake though... Then remember that all reality except you and your house was a dream... Family? Friends? Everyone else? Dead? No, they never existed, as you realize this you want to go back to sleep, even though you know its just a dream, but the eternal silence, and the truth causes you so much horror you would never fall asleep again...

    *Theme plays*

  • Why don;t you use an emulator for the games you don't have?

  • I wondered what that was, I heard it everywhere.

  • was there any more on these song found!?...this always intrigued me but this video is so old now!?

  • He randomly plays K.K. Song in ACCF.

I know, he played it to me like that once.

  • hey!!! i think in luigis mansion i know how to get that song!!!!!! its rather you stay on the pause acreen for a amount of time or stay in the start of the mansion for a amount of time!!!!! glad i could help

  • In the game boy camera, there is a face that comes up if you press the run button a couple of times , it will repeatedly play the first 6 notes of totakas song. If you want to see it, just type "no blank frames gameboy" on google or youtube

  • Gotta love Totaka's song

  • Incredible, he created his own octaves for this song.

  • The first was actually in the game X.

  • And I know it's been 4 years, but can you find this song in the game "Art Academy"?

  • So THAT'S where Todakeke (K.K.) got his name in Animal Crossing.

  • God the last one was unexpected and freaky. If i'd found that out for the first time i'd be like 0_o

  • Creepy song.

  • (continued from below)

We didn't turn off the console, and I can't remember if we paused it... but we definitely left Wave Race on a silent screen while we started doing our homework... I can't remember exactly how long we were sitting there (4-20 minutes but I cant remember) but the screen went from being silent to playing this creepy song... I now know this from this video as Totakas song... we thought it was very creepy when it happened... God I wish i could remember...

  • @mk941987 That's a good story - hopefully some people will start looking.

  • OK this is very creepy, I came across this...but I know for a fact this song is in Wave Race 64... when I first got a N64 for Christmas in 96, Wave Race was the only game I had for 5 months before I got Super Mario and Shadows of the Empire... Here's the only info I have to go on... Me and my friend were playing it when my mom made us turn it off until we finished our homework... (continued)

  • pikmin 2 was easy

  • K.K. slider's bro died, this was his favorite song. He goes to other nintendo series after the events of smash bros. He haunta all with this song

  • IT'S EVERYWHERE!

  • I remember sitting there on the Yoshi's Story screen waiting for that music, I always thought it was just the end of the loop and never thought anything of it! I appreciate it so much more now!

  • Glad I'm not the only one that thinks it sounds creepy. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it just...gives me the shivers. D=

  • in animal crossing city folk, while Kapp'n is talking to you on the bus, stop pressing a when he speaks to you, and he'll stop talking and start whistling totakas song

  • How the hell is "The Barak Obama Song" Related to this?!

  • I just got chills, I remember hearing it in Pikmin 2, I don't remember where though...

  • Man, I can't stop laughing at how he always goes "UH" and then the camera angle changes and then he tries to play it in like he never actually had to pause the recording.

It happens so much, he gets really enthusiastic about it!

  • @Fallynor Why would I pause the recording?

  • i wonder if this moron lets everyone know he is just reading / plagiarizing the wiki article

  • it sounds really creepy but now im really interested

  • i love the zelda-one^^

  • IDK I kind of think its cute and catchy.

  • It's in Luigi's Mansion. Just wait at the control select screen for a little while.

  • He will randomly play K.K. Song in City Folk. He played it for me as one of my character's first songs.

  • mind = blown

  • I like the DX version at the start screen

  • Why is this so creepy?

  • @mamaluigi7 Possibly because the conditions are so random and specific, the song could pop up at any time, anywhere.

  • wow this is cool1

  • this song is everywhere XD

  • If i was 10 years younger i would be pissing my pants after hearing that

  • This freaks the hell out of me 0_o Now I keep thinking Totokeke is going to come kill me in my sleep while playing K.K. song.

  • Check X-Scape's credits ;)

  • @sontuk96 The song is in X-Scape and has been found.

  • @MrConcreteDonkey Seriously? Where in X-scape?

  • It's always a 2 minute wait. Maybe Nintendo is trying to tell us something. Or brainwash us, ohmygawsh!

  • Holy crap, this is scary x,x

    I never knew this

  • The last song you'll hear before you are killed by a random nintendo character...

  • @LlamaSims2010 I hope I get killed by Ganon or Ridley

  • @LlamaSims2010 tails doll!!!, wait thats sega.

  • @LlamaSims2010 If I get killed by Toad I'll be ashamed forever in the afterlife

  • This song is creepy. It just stops the main song and they play it. They dont do an effort to fit it in with the main music. Weird.

  • Comment removed

  • @AnthraxMegadeth It doesn't in Pikmin 2. But yes, it's creepy. I'm scared to play Wii Music and Wii Sports now.

  • You can hear Totaka's Song in For the Frog the Bell Tolls by going back to the port town on your 3rd quest & standing next to the shop for 3 minutes & 30 seconds.

  • THANK GOD FOR HIGH SCHOOL JAPANESE CLASSES.

At the very end (@ 7:03 ) When he enters the name to get the song the name spells "To-Ta-Ka". That should clear things up.

  • @ThatNotSoAznKid Did you fail those classes? It spells To-Ta-Ke-Ke.

  • @Ocaba I noticed the "tsu" symbol after I posted the comment and just got to lazy too correct myself :P

  • @ThatNotSoAznKid There's no "tsu" symbol, either...?

  • Um, please enlighten me. What is so special about... Totaka's song? Doesn't K.K. Slider play it when you request it on Animal Crossing? Please explain!

  • @FallingStar1999 Well Seeing as its been around for about 15 years and at least 10 years before that... Also watch from 3:13 onward. It makes TONS of sence after that.

  • @ThatNotSoAznKid Thanks!

  • @FallingStar1999 It didn't occur to you to watch the whole video before asking a question?

  • EAR_RAPE

  • You've forgot "X", no?

  • @AmiralMachin it hadnt been found in X when this video was made

  • @powdrpunkgrrl Ok, thanks ^^

  • It's the main song in luigi's mansion.

  • @SNESThebest no its not, they sound tottally different.

  • Every time I hear this song,I go "LOL"

  • X is the oldest, not Mario Paint, however MP is the oldest game released in the USA to have it

  • i found totakas song in wario lan gb

  • @tractorman287 orly? :o where? i tried looking 4 it, but then i read sumthing saying it wuznt in there ^^U

  • @tractorman287 Sorry, but you're lying. Kazumi Totaka had nothing to do with any Wario game other than Virtual Boy Wario Land. You're not going to find the song in a game he didn't work on at all.
