thats kinda gay that all the factions cant fight... im not trying to hate on WAR but u can only fight in the small areas given. Still dont get me wrong im not trying to hate on WAR but i like how open wow is. Also i have been watching TONS of WAR videos and for all of the mele classes it seems kinda like there are no cool looking atacks. I can never tell if someone is using an ability cause they just kinda sit there and swing their sword and nothing else happens. Really like the environments tho
In this game, PvP (or as they call it, RvR) is crap. its just one big laggy pack of people, pushing all buttons wildly, no timing, no nothing. It looks very attractive on videos and so on. It was a pain in the ass to realize how much this game sucked goatballs.
bottomline: It looks fun, but its NOT.
There are no cool abilities to the melee classes such as: charge, intercept, pummel or stuns. they basicly all have ALOT of different strikes that all cost actionpoints.

Once you hit level 34, get a Logictech G15 or Nostromo Pad N54, and you can AFK macro to kill the Giant Squigs behind the hit in the Warcamp in Kadrin Valley.
i just wonder in rvr realms and normal realms the world is the same right? i can still play were i want in the world just as any other on a normal realm can if i chose a rvr realm right? and is there loading screens trough what land you enter? like in lotro? planing on buying this game got tierd of wow after 4 fun years but i need something new :P so if someone plays the game and knows the answer please tell me! ^^ thanks
Additionally, the RvR lakes failed in the tiers, they are way too small, infact players in Tiers 1-3 can circle jerk the guards, running away easily if they think they are going to lose. The sprinting isn't based on an Action point system, for 10 sec they are garaunteed +40% run speed, instead of action draining while sprinting.
The RvR lakes are the size of sand boxes made for toddlers by Play Skool, hardly feels like a realm war. Their marketing team did a better job then the dev team obv.

Someone who has this already can you please answer my question? Since he is saying the greenskins can take over your starting teir 1 map, does that mean if I am a new dwarf just starting out greenskins can come and kill me? Or do the greenskins only take over the rvr part of the teir 1 map?
Only way I'll start playing this is if they provide a free trial + free game download and just stick to the monthly fees... otherwise it just turns into the lets-launch-a-45€-expansion-every-couple-of-days ripoff like what happened with WoW.

Orly, What level are you? If your not lv40 please dont come here telling me i dont know what i am talking about. Sorry it is failhammer. And "RVR zones"?, There are no RVR "zones" just a small area within the zone called RvR lakes. that is unless you count the SC's (piss poor wow BG clones). So moral of the story get to lv4 grind about 50 or so keeps for your PQ set then come back and tell me about how i dont know what i am talking about.

RvR came from Mythics first game: Dark ages of Camelot. There were 3 realms which coexist on the same server, but only meet in RvR or low level battle grounds. The same is true with WAR, but with these scenarios depicted above

One question I havn't found an answere to is. When an enemy takes control of your city, what happens to you then (your "people") Do you gett like a camp outside or a bitaway, or do you ither need to take it back fast or w8 till it resets to continey your questing and so on? And another thing, wen you take over another factions city will you be able to do uniqu special quests there? or will it just end there and you w8 till it can be dun again?
This, however, isnt the only pairing. You can travel to different RvR scenarios and help out your allies. So I can go kill Chaos, eventhough I am a Dwarf. And vice versa.
Well look at the outline of the continents before he zooms into the RvR battle zones, at about 30. Africa and South America look alot like what is on the map

the game is made by mythic not EA, EA is a sponsor, mythic made DaoC wich is a great game. war = daoc2 with a warhammer skin, its a very nice game but need improving in some aspects.
well the farclip is pretty poor, like when players are far away they look 2d and realy laggy. just a few glitches and that. nothing major tbh. good game all in all and its only been out a few days.

omg. that sucks! cause corpse run is needed to go back to the quest item or whatever you were looking for. if you spawn in town, you have to run back to your quest and therefor you will find all the enemies on your path again, and you will waste your time getting to your quest items, again and again. omg. Warhammer sucks. But just wait 3 months, then you will agree with me. Since 13 november WoW expansion comes out and you will agree with me.
Just a few things. 1. Low lecels will never fizzle out, people always make twinks on every mmo, and this one will have them especially. 2. At low level, you will have NO reason to go to higher tiers, therefore they have no need to allow it. 3. If high level characters could go to low tiers, some people would be douche bags and camp them, leaving the low levels to have absolutely no fun. So...The logic behind this game is easy to understand if you have any kind of common sense.
I read that you will turn into a chicken if you are a higher level and go into low level tiers...so basically no camping of bodies that are out of your level range.
You will need to have high level to go to high tiers, why the game dont make me able to go to high tiers if I find some reason to do??
Another question, this video that high tiers will have more rvr then low tier, why not make the low tiers with the same amount o rvr (a huge amount according to this video) after all this game is about rvr.
At the start your meant to be getting a hang of the game and as you progress you get stronger and thats probibly why they have more rvr later on. The world rvr is alot of fun, you shan't be dissapointed! (The battlegrounds are made of win to)

I'll explain as good as i can, you are confused (Just as i was) with WOW. But you have to forget wow completely in order to know the rules of War. Realms on WAR is faction as it is on wow. on War servers are just servers and on Wow are Realms server, prolly thats why you got confused. So, when you pick chaos, you can go and fight dwarves, helping the greenskins. Get it? Tier is just the world level you are in. Tier 1 lowest levels, Tier 2, A bit higher levels, Tier 3 Higher levels, and finally
Tier 4, the highest of levels. And after tier 4, there is another "Tier" where you can fight and capture the capital city of both Realms. These are, Abefoth (or something like that, its the capital of Order, district Empire) and Invotable or something in that direction (Capitol of destruction, district chaos) Then if you conquer one of these there is the last and hardest stage. Kill the king of one of the two capitals.
There, thats what i know so far and i think its a good basic. For even more information, go to the channel EA and search warhammer online podcasts and start from the beginning, they explain everything! Hope I was help full.
I wish there were capitals for Dark Elves, High Elves, Greenskins, & Dwarfs. I would love to slaughter every Dwarf in Karaz-a-Karak >=)

There is a normal level, 1-40, and a Pvp level. Yes you can get your normal level from 1-40 in just pvp.

Actually, you don't know what you're talking about. ^_^ I've played. I was VERY against pay to play games. My friend bought this, and we've been PVPing in the RVR zones since then. They do the RVR Very well.

Orly, What level are you? If your not lv40 please dont come here telling me i dont know what i am talking about. Sorry it is failhammer. And "RVR zones"?, There are no RVR "zones" just a small area within the zone called RvR lakes. that is unless you count the SC's (piss poor wow BG clones). So moral of the story get to lv4 grind about 50 or so keeps for your PQ set then come back and tell me about how i dont know what i am talking about.

ok i like wow heaps warhammer looks great will play both maybe what i want to know is like in warhammer wats highest lvl how hard is it to lvl to it and how long is it like is it as hard as guild wars which sucked and also is it like after you like get high enough you can go see other races such as a orc go see elves etc. but it would be nice if you could rank it likegetting to the highest lvl in warhammers is as hard as it is to get to like 30 or 60 or 70 on wow ty for reading:)

I thought RvR meant Realm vs Realm, which is like server's vs server's yeah?
Well then, why do the scenarios (battlegrounds) only invite you into ones with people only from your own server?
I have to wait hours on end just to PvP on a PvPMMO, it's fucking retarded.
They need to make all servers play against each other, that way people will be able to pvp more and a LOT faster.

That's what I thought originally as well. To compare it to WoW, a "Realm" is the same as a "Faction". So Realm vs Realm means Order vs Chaos.

RvR came from Mythics first game: Dark ages of Camelot. There were 3 realms which coexist on the same server, but only meet in RvR or low level battle grounds. The same is true with WAR, but with these scenarios depicted above

One question I havn't found an answere to is. When an enemy takes control of your city, what happens to you then (your "people") Do you gett like a camp outside or a bitaway, or do you ither need to take it back fast or w8 till it resets to continey your questing and so on? And another thing, wen you take over another factions city will you be able to do uniqu special quests there? or will it just end there and you w8 till it can be dun again?

This, however, isnt the only pairing. You can travel to different RvR scenarios and help out your allies. So I can go kill Chaos, eventhough I am a Dwarf. And vice versa.

i never played it. but how come its so much better than wow? I mean , the wow expansion is coming out, why dont you wait for it, and then decide if you wanna play wow or war. And besides, EA is bad at making games, look at Command and Conquer. Perhaps you should take your own advice and think about what you are saying. First off you say you never played it, then talk about "server queues and issues". So what issues would those be, having never played the game? Also, dumbass, EA didn't make this game, Mythic did. omg. that sucks! cause corpse run is needed to go back to the quest item or whatever you were looking for. if you spawn in town, you have to run back to your quest and therefor you will find all the enemies on your path again, and you will waste your time getting to your quest items, again and again. omg. Warhammer sucks. But just wait 3 months, then you will agree with me. Since 13 november WoW expansion comes out and you will agree with me.

Just a few things. 1. Low lecels will never fizzle out, people always make twinks on every mmo, and this one will have them especially. 2. At low level, you will have NO reason to go to higher tiers, therefore they have no need to allow it. 3. If high level characters could go to low tiers, some people would be douche bags and camp them, leaving the low levels to have absolutely no fun. So...The logic behind this game is easy to understand if you have any kind of common sense.

I read that you will turn into a chicken if you are a higher level and go into low level tiers...so basically no camping of bodies that are out of your level range.

Another question, this video that high tiers will have more rvr then low tier, why not make the low tiers with the same amount o rvr (a huge amount according to this video) after all this game is about rvr.

At the start your meant to be getting a hang of the game and as you progress you get stronger and thats probibly why they have more rvr later on. The world rvr is alot of fun, you shan't be dissapointed! (The battlegrounds are made of win to)

I'm not totaly sure about this, but this is what i've heard:
Each race has its main enemy race from the other team, so...
Greenskins V Dwarves
Empire V Chaos
High Elves V Dark Elves
Yet you can go to other races on your side and help them in battle, i guess you'll have to be high lvl to do this.

I'll explain as good as i can, you are confused (Just as i was) with WOW. But you have to forget wow completely in order to know the rules of War. Realms on WAR is faction as it is on wow. on War servers are just servers and on Wow are Realms server, prolly thats why you got confused. So, when you pick chaos, you can go and fight dwarves, helping the greenskins. Get it? Tier is just the world level you are in. Tier 1 lowest levels, Tier 2, A bit higher levels, Tier 3 Higher levels, and finally

Tier 4, the highest of levels. And after tier 4, there is another "Tier" where you can fight and capture the capital city of both Realms. These are, Abefoth (or something like that, its the capital of Order, district Empire) and Invotable or something in that direction (Capitol of destruction, district chaos) Then if you conquer one of these there is the last and hardest stage. Kill the king of one of the two capitals.
