i5 2500k will serve u quite well for a very long time, plus with its great OC ability. As for HD6950, no problem for max 1080p gameplay for current games, might be suffer abit in the future, but still very playable if u ask me. HD7000 series are releasing next year, i think you will probably get that instead of mine.

does the 6950 fit good in the elite 430? all i could find a bout that case is that it would fit a 5970

5970 is longer then 6950 and for sure it will fit perfectly. Still have plenty of room to spare.
