  • He's like a labrador !!

    And yes, you're right!

    Not a good job !

He looks very cute before though ! :-D

  • This happened to my first cocker once. I was so upset. It was the first and last time I ever used that groomer. Every dog, from a cocker, to a shitzu to a mixed breed all left with the same haircut. If you don't know how to do a cocker cut (or whatever you were asked to do) than be honest and let the person find someone who can. This dog is still adoreable but I do understand. I found a wonderful groomer and trust her with both my cockers, she's great.

  • who wants to hand strip a cocker? i wouldent! too time consuming and most cockers are dicks

  • No, they really aren't, but I think we now know who the real dick is. :]

You really shouldn't be a groomer if you're not willing to put time into the job.

  • What a terrible haircut!

I've got two cocker spaniels and I am not a professional grommer but I can do a better job.than this. This is not worth paying for! The fluffy cocker in the video does'n't look matted to me. The groomer just didn't want to spend enough time on handstripping, probably because the dogs coat was't ripe voor handstripping. I was shocked!!! (I'm Dutch so please don't mind my bad English)

  • this dos is still cute

  • This is very familiar. I have a black cocker and this sadly has happened twice with our groomer. eek! I need to learn how to do it myself.

  • OMG. I have a buff cocker - a little girl - her name is Chloe. I had the same experience ONCE. Since then I started grooming her at home - groomers are too lazy to do a real cocker cut I've found, and I want my little one to look like a cocker not a shaved down poodle. Your sweet boy is still adorable, but I understand the frustration that comes from months of growing out their hair for a nice cut and getting this instead. My advice, groom at home. Everyone will be happier.

  • try being a groomer before you comment on how a dogs hair looks. You have no idea the condition of the coat before it was shaved down and trust me it is much more humane to save a matted dog down than it is do demat a dog for hours. It is tourture. So maybe you should have your dog regularly groomed instead of bashing the groomer for doing what was humane.

  • he looks exactly like my cocker!! It's a real pain to keep him mat-free but I really don't want to have him shaved either. Find a new groomer...one that knows how to cut and groom and not just shave the poor dog down to skin. He's still adorable and the coat will grow back. Good luck.

  • I think he looks adorable!

  • I think he looks good!

  • yes, true, he did have a few knots in his fur, but we brushed him every 3 days.

  • Cockers should be groomed at least every six weeks to keep them from getting matted if kept in a cocker clip (as long as you are combing at home). Otherwise the groomer has no choice.

  • yeah. He grew some hair back. [: just in time.

    thanx for commenting. :D

  • but he still looks darling before and after i think

  • oops i guess it is a he sorry

  • haha. Thats okay, we didnt tip them this time. [:

  • you must egg the groomer...
