@NairoFreestyler Its because rogues rely heavily on buffs as opposed to casters. I have an 80 priest,mage,and druid and they all have done really well on the dummies as opposed to my rogue. He does between 6-7k on the dummies now, and 17k single target in 25m ICC. The casters do around 10k single target in 25m ICC and like 5-6k on the dummies. Once you give a rogue raid buffs they just scale dramatically, and here on the video with my old gear, he had no buffs.

For right now, this is the ideal mutilate rotation. Its so simple it's almost boring. So hopefully it gets a few changes for cata. Right now with the 15% buff I did 13.3k dps on saurfang this past wed. So yes I'm doing well but If someone has found a legit way to increase mutilated dps or rotation significantly, I would like to hear it. Instead of ppl saying "hey I do better than you" that's just childish and helps no one. This is intended to help all rogues, so let's help each other.

If your talking about actual 25 man raids, I do consistent 12k dps if that helps you compare.

That's one thing I don't like about the test dummies, there is alot of RNG. Sometimes I'm over 6k sometimes not. So a good way I have found to try and get consistent numbers if you are trying to run dps tests, is to go to the same amount of dmg everytime. And to do enough to level out the burstiness of the rogues 4 set bonus to try and get solid numbers. I usually goto about 3 million myself.

To be honest i think u could reach, lke 7k dps or more with my rotation with that gear, cuz im almost full im on a GS like 5k, and im doing 6k+ dps.

Glyph of mutilate, hunger for blood, and tricks of the trade. Minor glyphs are whatever you want really, I use safe fall, vanish, and blurred speed.

thats isnt bad at all , but it could be better. I'd shoot for about 5.5k dps as the elite dps mark at that gear level. It always helps to have a partner rogue to trade tricks with in raids.

Rupture just never scaled very well at higher gear levels, thats why combat and mutilate dropped it. It may come back into the combat rotation in patch 3.3.3, but thats still to be debated. I ask that you stick to gemming attack power and haste, because its a waste of gold to gem all agility until you get to 4800 and switch specs , then have to re-gem all over again for my spec. But if your rocking a 4200 gearscore and pulling 4.8k dps in a 25m fully raid buffed,

Honestly the best spec IMO until your gearscore hits about 4800, is the old school cookie cutter 51/13/7. That will also use rupture in its rotation. As you will most likely be in full tier 9 at that gearscore, it will be able to take advantage of your 2 set bonus to give you a clear casting effect. Still gem attack power and haste, but once you hit 4800 ish in gear switch to 51/18/2 drop rupture from your rotation and move on.

If you look at my Saurfang video, you'll notice that i use vanish every cd. On a side note, if anyone knows how to keep it from reseting that would be awesome if you would let me know, its pretty irritating.

Yes it would, instead of using garrote, and having to mutilate right after to spam envenom, I actually do mutilate or ambush while at 1 or 2 combo points. That is of course after pooling energy to almost 60 and using vanish. I don't do that here on the test dummies due to the fact that when I use vanish, recount resets my damage parse and resets as if i started a new fight.

hey i was just wondering, wouldn't it increase your dps alittle bit to vanish when its up and refresh garrote? Seems alittle redundant, but overkills always nice for alittle bit more of a boost. Just a question, don't want to make it seem like i'm a know-it-all =P
