correction : 90% of all att user hate it. it's a freaking joke and it's so groundbreaking that it set new standard : you need 5 bars to make a call , dont hope getting 3g unless you're standing in "the hot spot" . of course it's not that bad everywhere , but it seems to fail everytime you need it .

I have AT&T GoPhone and i can make a very nice call with 2 bars, or more, and get 3G/EDGE most every place i go in my area of GA/SC. A lot of GSM phone service signals depend not on the cell company, but the Phone itself, like my $15 Nokia 2610b gets twice the service range as my $100 MotoRazr V3. Also before you get a GSM cell service you need to look at a coverage/signal map cause no one cell phone company picks up everyplace in the USA.
