I used to play in tons of circles, in Eugene, OR, Deadshows, and Rainbow Gatherings. They really are tons of fun. Occasionally you'd have to deal with some characters (such as the aggressive, loud guy who isn't that great but wants to be the lead drummer), but otherwise, they are enjoyable and a good way to meet other drummers.
