You paint strong forceful works of fantasy art! Clearly you spend alot of time on rendering detail. Maybe you would find interesting my hand drawn animated videos I made,THE MAGIC ARROWS, BALDER'S EGG AND THE BLACK WIDOW. They are on my channel page on you tube. Just sharing my work! Thanks for the display!
My art teacher says Dragons are boring and too predictable, and wont let me draw them in calss which is where i have accese to all the right equipment :-(
i was also wondering if you could do a piece of a dragon and wyvern fighting that would be pretty cool to see maybe polar opposites like fire and ice vs. one another or water and stone something cool dosent matter if you reply back just thinking out loud
you are my idol im 17 and have been drawing since third grade and your work is just amazing watching your youtube videos have inspired me to become a better artist and start drawing fantasy. i cant stop drawing it now lol its fun to put down on paper whatever comes to mind i was into realism which is great but fantasy is so much more fun i look foward to watching more of your videos please post more soon :)
I'm not the first to say this, (obviously) and certainly not the last, but you are an amazing artist! I'm 13, and like someone else who posted, am hoping to write a fantasy novel. Would you mind if I used the dragons in your art for the dragons in the book?(Certainly, i wouldn't just put a Valkrye on a gold dragon and say it was my idea) I only mean that the images have given my base ideas to a possible story.
If you can't reply, that's okay. (Sorry for the long comment)
wow!you must really love drawing and painting dragons! i actually adore dragons as it is. i got into dragons when i was four years of age. and i still love them like a dragonet loves its dragonlings.
Wow, amazing art and a realy good contribute to dragons :). Only one question if i may: What did you use to color the paintings/drawings? I decided to try and make some color paintings/drawings to break the black-white monotony and am interested what "tools" were used for this pictures as the colors look just like I would like them. Thank you.
I use liquitex acrylic and comart airbrush dyes for most of my color work. I use the acrylics for the base and opaque work and the dyes when I create the mists or a fade effect such as in the backgrounds.
you make fantastic art, and you're interpation of dragons is i think the only right one. perhapse you can draw a horse with a horn on its head (i forgot the english word for it couse i'am dutch) that would be really cool.
AMG. You're brilliant in drawing. I also like to draw, but it will take me forever to draw something out of my head. I always need to look at something.. ;[
my name is maraya and i am 7. i love dragons, yours are beautiful, i would love to have the one of the red dragon over the castle blown up into a poster to put on my wall.
7 yrs old is the perfect age to get into Dragons! Have your mommy send me a photo of you and your mom and contact my website and we can explore the option of getting you that Dragon. Ed
How long you have been drawing thease? Is this your job and you get money for it? I'm too begining of fantasy artist and i would like to know more of this.
Hi, I have been drawing for published works for nearly 30 years now. It is a wonderful feild and even better is the fact that you can enjoy what you get paid for.
Some drawings can take longer than an equal size painting. This is becasue where one brush stroke can fil an entire 3" area, the fine tip of a pencil can be quite laborious. I have created some of these paintings in as short as 3 hrs and drawings in 45 min or less, and others well over 140 hrs for the color and 14 hrs for the B/W.
You are a very talented individual! I really enjoyed this video, and I hope to someday be as talented as you. You really made the dragons come alive with your vibrant colors and intricate detail. Thank you for commenting on my video as well!
