I hv a question..! Im wonder how to encourage my boy to drink formula milk.. Hv been trying all kinds of milk flavours and even tried goat's milk.. Im worried for my 16mth old son as he hates drinking milk but still nursing till now.. He will want to nurse everytime he wants to sleep.. Seriously need help on this.. I wished to wean him from nursing by the time he turns 2.. SOMEBODY HELP!
@erinaz83sg Sorry it took me so long to reply...At 16 months, he does not need formula anymore. Have you tried cow's milk? I know a lot of moms don't agree with what I am about to say but it's the only way I get my girls to drink cow's milk....I put chocolate or strawberry syrup in it. Not a LOT but just enough to put a sweet flavor in it. :) Always works for us! As far as weaning, you'll have to let him tough it out if you want him to stop. I let my girls cry it out to get to sleep.
@erinaz83sg If you need me to answer anything else, please feel free to message me!!! I don't mind answering and it might take me a few days to a week to reply but I promise I will. xoxo HUGS!!!!!!!! Hang in there mama, it'll get better!!
@nexttym1 Yeah, she never asked to nurse again....I'm sure if it was a strike that she would have asked for it again. Either way though, I'm happy we nursed for 13 months and am very happy with that. :)
amazing that they can self wean and that she just didn't anymore after the day of being 13 months. it's sad but she will have many more firsts and lasts and you will always have a great bond with her! and there is baby #2.
@ReillyAJ It really is amazing they wean themselves! :) Yep, baby #2 will be here before I know it. After 12 months it's still beneficial for them to nurse/breastfeed but it isn't a neccessity since they eat everything we eat. Kinda like babies who are formula fed, they don't usually continue to drink formula after a year because they get most of their nutrition from food. (hopefully all that made sense, lol)
@AssNutt I've thought about that a lot and am not quit sure how I will deal with that situation. If she does get jealous, I'll let yall know how I deal with it. Thanks for the question! :)
@Ohhhmiii I've actally thought about this a lot and I guess I'll have to be in the situation before I can really say what I'll do. If it does happen, I'll definately put it in a video and let everyone know the details. :) Thanks for the questions!
My son weaned at 13 mo. too! I did something similar with my son, and it is a bittersweet feeling! I was also very surprised my son weaned as easily as he did!
@dreamflight6000 Ya know, so many people told me it was going to hurt but now that I think about it, none of those people breastfed longer than a couple of weeks...Maybe that is why? Sooo glad it didn't hurt though, I was kinda freaked out about them getting all hard and stuff.

I would like to hear how it went with Gianna at first. Thanks for sharing, that's great that she weaned herself so easy.

What will you do if Gianna decides she wants to nurse again once she sees the new baby nursing? Will you let her or will you tell her no?

I also never had any hardness or pain when I quit nursing b/c it was so gradual.
