  • Look into 80/10/10 diet if you think this is good. 80/10/10 takes it a step further

  • I learned macrobiotics in the 1980's when my wife was very ill. She got all better and we went on to raised a beautiful son now aged 24! Macrobiotics is not so easy to learn as it is very far from the mainstream. It is still at the center of my diet and I have been blessed no medical bills for forty years. My favorite introductory book is titled: The Self Healing Cookbook by Kristine Turner. This is a post I made to someone on a different blog. I hope it will be helpful to others. D. Field

  • I'm a long time Macro food lover: started in 80's , BUT, big problem with most macros: Way too strict and conceptual (too much talk, fundamentalism, ungrounded theory, few spices and lack of veggie variety), No vigorous excersise recommended, silly imitation of Michio with SMOKING, No fasting as in aryuveda. (big benefits of giving digestive system a rest..not recommended) Many older macros do not look so good and above is why. Biggest reason is lack of vigorous excersise and sports activity.

  • @swamisnyc Oshawa, I have heard, had so much energy that he would spend hours at night cleaning the kitchen, vigorously, I presume.

  • In fact, we breath the same breath. Life is but a dream.

  • Nevermind - Same meaning as Nietzsche's - 'we all breath breath the same air'.

  • Better that Nietzsche - We all breath our own air.
