  • the problem is not the motor here... for me is the breaking and reaceleration zones. i mean, its a joke. no way a DP would break or get back to the gas like this... Iracing is a nice simulator, but is way too far to be 100% realistic... i would say they are maybe 60% or 65%.

  • You have to remember iRacing is in the PERFECT conditions, sun, perfect track (no oil ect) perfect tires, consistent brakes, consistent temperature and you can hit reset if you bin it. The fastest lap at the last test at daytona for the DP's was a 1:40.888, all things considered that is pretty close.

  • @Ghostca you got a point, but i still think they should slow those DP down for more realism... and maybe less brakes and stuff, iracing still cool anyway.

  • Or 'braking' and 're-acceleration' if you prefer.

  • @rawoodruff sorry, english is not my native lenguage.

  • Nice Lap!

  • Grand am must have updated the Pontiac motors on IRacing before they did in real life. No way a pontiac could of thought about a 39 sec lap. Heck they would have been happy with a low 44....lol. Really nice lap man. Take it easy

  • Or iRacing just isn't 100% realistic... You can do 2 things in a racing simulator 1) adjust laptimes by editing the physics.. or 2) Make everything mathematically correct and hope for the best, which is what iracing did. As an example compare a real radical video with iracing, and you'll realize the iracing radical should be more loose then it is (most likely because it's really hard to model downforce properly). Cars like the skippy and solstice are more or less perfect though.
