  • Thanks for sharing these simple tips to help save fuel and money. Another simple tip is checking and maintaining proper tire pressure which prevents drivers from wasting 2 weeks worth of fuel each year. Imagine how much fuel would be saved by doing something so simple.

  • I'm not the one throwing the shitfit asshole.

  • "That moose fucking country above us"? Yes, Canada, but us Canadians have sore asses and so we invited your mother up to handle the moose for us she's having a great time with all of them right now. lol!

  • i have another tip....dont buy american cars ;)

  • Ouch!

    But, yeah I agree.

  • @P1000X except for the pontiac G8

made in Australia maketed as american

  • Good Educational Vid, I appreciate the learning of burning more fuel above 60 mph I've wondered about that

  • use cruise control? man my car puts the pedal to the floor when i cruise at 5th gear on the highway...

  • Good advice, but kind of simplistic.

You're probably better off staying away from fast food drivethroughs for a variety of reasons.

  • lol a 335i at 0:01 seconds in.

  • Non of this bull-shit works. Fock dude with filter in hand...so old school. Buy a Prius, Smart, Civic, Corolla etc. And enjoy the extra $4k to $5k you save every year.

  • Buy smaller cars! Oh wait, that's not cool.

  • Hey it's nice that U want to increase your gas milage. I just don't care about that. I've always laughed at people who buy the expensive econo-box hybrids b/c "It's gonna save me money on gas...." WTF? Why don't you just work a little overtime and buy what you want and stop bitching to me about how my 2500HD Silverado is soooo fuel inefficient. If I want to buy more gas than you it is OK really.

  • So, work more and spend more doing the same?

No thanks. I'd prefer that extra working time do anything more useful than that.

    Keep laughing! Cheers!

  • The tip about not being in the drive-thru does not hurt my mileage that much since my Honda Insight has an auto-stop feature that shuts off the engine when the car is not moving. But I still like to get out to maximize my mileage. If I don't, I may get 67mpg instead of 70 or more. So far, my Insight has 81K mi and lifetime mpg of 69. Its mileage is double my other car's, a '90 Honda CRX Si at 35 mpg.

  • Very good tips! I say the thing I see people do the most that is opposite from one of the tips is the fast accelerations and decelerations...they usually beat me to the red light and we ended up at the same place at the same time! I would try to conserve and minimize my losses and not stop if possible...not hit the gas pedal.accelerate when approaching a red light for example.

  • cool video!

  • 2.19? try 3.54.

  • These people should learn better communication skills. I can't understand anything they say when they mumble so much.

  • The best video on youtube.

    Thanks

  • HA $2.19 per gallon??? It's almost $3.40 here in California. When I started driving, it was $0.99/gallon and I could fill my gas tank up for about 10 bucks... Now I'm lucky if I fill it for $45. We are getting raped and what gets me is that this shit is giving us all CANCER. There are much cleaner, better, cheaper sources of energy out there, and the fucking asshole oil bitches have us by our throats. Fucking HEMP OIL is a better alternative and that was invented in 1900's.

  • Guess how much we pay in Belgium..

1.5 EURO /liter... for ordinary fuel

diesel is a bit cheaper around 1.25 or so

  • one of my favs...

  • nice

  • yjytjtyjt

  • 2.19 for regular? WHERE IS THAT?!?!?! it is like 3.09 for that stuff

  • Thanx myridevideos :0)

we saudis dont have time for that!

    :0)

  • Speed is such an enormous killer of MPG. I ride a 2006 motorcycle that's suppose to get 51 MPG, but I'm always riding so fast that I actually get 33MPG. On the other side I drive a 1990 sedan and average about 23 MPG because I drive the speed limit.

  • Good video!

  • i drive a diesel that does 52-55 mpg... a SUV with an empty trunk and properly inflated tires can't do that, not even the hybrid ones... is there a better way to save money?!

  • You're right an SUV can't do that, but simply maintaining proper air inflation and those other tips will prevent MPG decrease.

  • Screeching stops burn gas? Since when?

  • You have used extra gas because you stopped too late. It's like going near full power and then slamming on the brakes vs going easy and coasting to a stop. It may be a marginal difference but there is still a difference. It ties into the fast starts, if you do fast starts then you would obviously be using more gas and it will likely lead to screeching stops too.

  • no as in slowing down over a longer distance w/o the instant stops and starts are better for you engine and dosen't burn gas so quickly for the quick push

  • Check out and possibly subscribe to the page of Stonemansteve.

  • I thought when he opened the hood, that a green leprachan was powering the automobile.

    Damm shame..

  • sorry to spam, but i found this amazing video that is really worth watching!! check it out

    watch?v=yMkik7utpfU

    or click my name

  • It's not suprising that you disregard MANY topics for debate: 1) If a driver slowly creeps through the next greenlight, thereby "saving gas", it WASTES gas for all the cars behind him/her who must stop yet again. While YOU save gas, everyone else WASTES it. Net savings??? ZERO!

Also, TIME is the *only* non-renewable resource in this world. Drive very slow? You *WASTE* time sitting in a car instead of enjoying it with friends and family. Not to mention wasting it for everyone else behind you.

  • Carpool when you can.

  • 1.dont be fat( because it weighs down the car)

    2.manual transmission

    3.use the highway more

    4.avoid using trucks and SUVS

and those are my tips =D

  • Just sell the dang thing!!

  • Just sell the dang thing!!

  • Just sell the dang thing!!

  • How about this?

    Sell your crappy SUV?

I think that alone would save fuel..

    duh..

  • I love my ESCALADE!

    forget you.

  • They should redesign Drive-thrus by sloping them down... that way you can shut off your car and coast down to pay and pick up your order.

  • How about shed a few pounds off yourself by avoiding the Drive-Thru altogether fatty.

  • I was thinking of posting that!

Anyway, driving with manual transmission also helps save fuel.

  • I agree with much of what people have been saying, but Americans have to travel far greater distances to reach anywhere. This ends up translating into more fillups at the gas pump, costing us far more money.

  • hamburger

  • People in america have no right to complain about fuel prices, your galon price is about the same as our litre price....

  • Yeah we English pay like 5 times as much as you lot, think yourselves lucky.

Although we do have heathcare, a relatively good government, good school, good public transport, have better technology, better infrastructure, a much better economy, etc etc etc, but anyway yeah fuel prices.

  • feeling cocky? why don't you try to invade us again, beaches.

  • But your dentistry is BRUTAL. Now show me them pearly whites.

  • At least no Brit ever voted for Bush! You lot did twice. Embarrassed? You should be.

PS My teeth are great, bought and paid for, real high quality plastic.

  • Truth.

However, I can't be held responsible for the fact that over half the people who live in my country are legally retarded.

  • Show me your mum, oh no wait, she's right here between my legs, forget about it.

Come back when you need saving in the war again yeah, and when you can afford to buy a Mars bar in the UK without remorgaging your house.

    THE GREAT BRITISH EMPIRE ROCKS!!!!

  • Dude.

    Between your legs?

    . . .

It makes it sound like she is boning you with a strap on.

  • Or sucking my cock perhaps...dude?

    Wanker.

  • You're better off keeping the car you've got than getting another one. More pollution is created building a car than a car will create in it's whole life.

  • What happened to muscle cars?

  • that era is gone...

  • I know. It's BS

  • lol in pennslyvania the gas is like $3.00 and some.

  • Try $10.50 USD in London

  • How to save fuel cost: invade the fuel producers...

  • What the... lol

Another "spotlight" video in 10 minutes? wow. xP

  • VW and Peugeot will both have cars on sale next year which do well over 100mph and 80mpg.

Neither is a 6 litre pickup truck.

Come on america, catch up with europe.

  • That's all common sense. The key is to help your engine breath easier to save fuel. They seem like ricer/boy racer add ons but a cold air intake and a bigger bore exhaust can actually save you money. Need not be noisey either as there are silent exhaust systems with wider bore for some cars. End of the day though.. a smaller engine = less gas usage if you really want to save money.

  • wrong!

A cold air intake gives more air (including oxygen) so your O2 sensor will run the engine slightly richer to make up for your lean mix. You still usethe same amount of fuel. Low restriction exhausts are only for turbo'ed cars (6psi and above) to remove lots more exhaust than naturally aspirated engines. Hence, making more exhaust means more fuel used to make it.

Don't believe everything rice boys claim. Most of the shit they put on their cars is to make up for a small penis - image only

  • cold air ignights better and gives more power from less fuel. right??

  • Right, as long as it's dry. Cold air is denser so you get more compression and a bigger bang.

  • On the cold air intake and exhaust: I'm probably just speaking from the experience I had with my Subaru Legacy GT (twin turbo). I reasearched the facts before hand and found a "silent" type full exhaust (inc manifold) system along with a cold air kit and did notice a good improvement in gas usage after installing them. It could just be because the legacy has a horrid resonator in the driver side wing which severely restricts air flow.*shrug*

  • in finland 1 litre costs 1.75€

  • walk you fat cunt,it's good for you.

  • LOL!

  • awful video. they should suggest driving a manual for starters, and cruise control does not save more gas.

  • thats is so true i have a manual e300 diesel and i get 40mpg easy

  • In the US, driving smaller cars would probably help..Instead of driving huge pick-up trucks that does 1 mile/gall.

  • Zzz

  • here in mexico 1 litre cost .6 dlls :)

  • it's around $2.00 here in the UK per litre. :( Around 70% of that is tax though.

  • asdasd

  • In norway, where I live... it's about 2 dollars per litre :o - expensive

  • same here in london

  • so i guess fat and overwheight people have the worse mileage ever,,,hehehhehe lose some wheight to save money

  • cruise control wastes more gas

  • no it don't it maintains a constant speed

  • here in finland 1 litre costs 1.5euros :/

  • here in finland 1 litre costs 1.5euros :/

  • For crying out loud! You can do better than that! Just buy normal sized cars!

"Oh dear, my 6 litre truck only gets 12 miles per gallon, I wish I could improve" Try a Volvo S80 D5 at 44mpg, or a BMW 318d at 58.9mpg, or a Ford Focus TDCi econetic at 65mpg, or a VW Polo bluemotion at 74mpg.

America you're miles behind the rest of the world.

  • fgf

  • cool that the amerikans think fpr the environment. Here in germany 1 Liter fuel costs about 1,50 Euro ( 1 Euro=1,50 Dollar)

  • Haha..sux to be you.

  • Haha, oh wait. We just hit peak oil, so we'll all be paying MUCH more than that soon.

  • Haha.. I liv in Alberta, Canada and practically have an oil well for backyard. LOL WUT!

  • haha, eh?

Other people used to have oil wells for backyards, too. Now look at them. :(

    Look up

A Crude Awakening - The Oil Crash [Xvid-AC3]

    on mv group or torrentportal.

  • Drive a Honda Accord or Civil will also help!

  • vansean, maybe a little, but it still puts out CO2 (and NOx), consumes oil, and is horribly inefficent, like all internal combustion. Hello, Bush? this is 2008, internal conbustion is such a 20th century tech.

  • so what are you doing to change things.. hmmm sipping coffee at your computer.. I bet you drive a suburban.. and only have 1 kid..

  • What's your problem? You haven't the slightest idea about what I do. I hate SUVs, for their pollution, inefficiancy, and it's impossible to see past one of those things. I don't have any kids. Change things? I ride my bike in the snow even though people look at me like I'm crazy (that could be considered a example that if emulated would save ton of CO2 from being released in the atmos. I also tell everyone that will listen that I support renewable energy. And I drink tea, not coffee.

  • I also ridicule Bush and his cronies for many of the damaging things he's done in office, esp. CAFE standards, alaskan oil drilling, energy policy, trade deficit, budget deficit, etc. If I converse with enough people, I might change someone's mind about buying an SUV, or riding a bike to work, or voting for a more environmentally sound leaders. I don't see why you're so hostile, assuming i drive a huge SUV and have one kid. What benefit do you get from insubstatiated insults?

  • Good tips but I can't drive yet. xD
