  • This is fabulous!! I played the timbrels in 1968, had the uniform, loved the different ribbons and the songs. A long time ago but I've never forgotten it. I have a bent finger as proof, lol. Please don't stop, keep teaching it! Linda in Sydney Australia

  • There is a Ruth in the Timbrel Brigade but her name is Woodhouse, maybe you have the name wrong.

  • After careful investigation the following reply was received. I do know the gentleman commenting on the picture. His name is Barry Harkcum and I remember him from Bristol Music School. He would have known me as Ruth Sutton in those days. Not sure where he got the name Ruth Chadwick from.

Thanks you can pass this information back if you want to.

  • Wonderful!! i am from Chile and he have timbrel brigade in my corp to. We usually play with the to atrack people in the concerts and then we talk that persons talking about the love of Jesus. The timbrels are a very important ministery in the army. Praise the Lord for that.

  • Greetings to Salvationists in Chile, it is wonderful to know that you are sharing in this way in the ministry of Christ. Your situations, way of life and congregations are so different from ours in England, but we all serve the same God, and yes, Timbrels are an important part of our ministry to attract people so that they can hear the message of Christ and learn more about him. Keep practising, only the best is good enough, and keep talking about Jesus. God Bless You
