  • Nádhera, často si tuto symfonii pouštím. Děkuji.

  • will look nuts absent checking my profile

formerly entirely atheist myself, but dumb things in West, myth parallels and

even UFO's now suggestive of link / Greco - Hebraic - Christian (same: Confucius) concepts. CONVEYED?

Anyhoo, not for matters of race per se, I propose looking for Jewish -

Asian haplotype overlay in considerations of things I've proposed, which

I simply feel add up to much and are entirely positive.

Otherwise, only outward appearances will influence possibilities.

  • PLEASE FIND THIS VIDEO. TAN DUN WAS INSPIRED BY NATURAL ELEMENTS BEING MUSICAL. MUSIC IS INFORMATIONAL. THAT IS WHY YOU CAN PLAY IT ON YOUR MP3 PLAYER. SO HIS WORK SHOULD NEVER BE TRIVIALIZED. OLIVER SACH'S MUSICAL EXPLOSION WAS LIKE DOUBLE-CLICKING ON A MUSIC FILE. IT WAS NOT PURELY MECHANICAL IN MY VIEW. WHAT IS SEPARATING YOU FROM AN EVER SO SIMPLE GROWTH IN MORALITY HISTORY AND SCIENCE IS INSULT DISDAIN DISGUST SHOCK-FROM-SCIENTIFIC-NAIVETE PREFERENCE-FOR-AMBITION-NOTWITHSTANDING.
  • comments here have connected and resonated thank you my intentions are good, the bases of curiosity are genuine i understand scapegoating, pacification, transference i understand hypocrisy from those who "transfer" i understand the resulting disdain and disgust and withdrawal i happen to suspect a conveyed belief telling of a combined science (kids travel to stars,) moral universe. explains copy-cat belief systems but may confirm information's values ordinary guy just a new thing
  • today see here?

Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra - Eroica

It looks like I'm the one human on Earth

informing as to a very particular idea

that Mr. Dun, I think, had in mind, except

he can never flat out promote himself.

  • as to the next, that's not to minimize this

These kids obviously produce a gorgeous rich full sound.

    sends me

  • I find YouTube URL formatting limitations necessitate suggesting upon posting a link that you use notepad to remove any spaces. goo . gl / e113Q As enjoyable as the one you're currently listening to is, Tan Dun was originally inspired by natural sounds. Chinese instruments better lend themselves to that. I hope they're integrated into Western orchestras. In his process Dun implies nature is musical. As music is data, he thus implies nature is informational.

  • Beautiful!

They played out the spirit of the symphony.

  • Fantastic Song I love it

  • Ugh. I really don't like this interpretation! The intro is way too fast, and the brake drums don't sound that good! I do love the brass and timpani, though.

  • lovely music, the director is so cool.

  • I like the interpretation at the ending. They took it from the British-style and made it their own. But that opening was terrible up until the second movement. But I guess "it's not how you start, it's how you finish."

  • Eroica!!!!

  • Youtube Internet Symphony played a lot better I think.

  • this is another wonderful interpretation... I hope many more come up with their own interpretations. just delightful. thank you to the musicians.

  • Model for New Age music! GO Tan Dun! Pride of Chinese composers.

  • not the best beginning

  • Wow. You can hear all four horn parts really loud at the same time!

    That's rare.

    Great performance.

  • Damn nice horn sounds for sure....

  • @SirJohnamus

Aren't there only two horn parts? Or did they write in more?

  • @Vinylcake

There are 4, I originally wanted to try out on 1st and 3rd parts, but ended up doing only 1st. So yes.

  • It seems that the music is sped up towards the end. Is that intentional?

  • Yes.

    It changes speed multiple times.

  • Hi everyone, i think there is nothing wrong with the music composition. it is the performance itself not good. please refer to the London Symphony Orchestra listen to how others play. i m Malaysian and i think that (MANY) of the Taiwanese always have politics and a kind of look down on others. it is how i feel. u see music is universal don't let your "coloured" eyes to judge others thanks..

  • maybe because I prefer classical music.....so I think his work is common or not good cause I tend to hear more serious work

  • the beginning of this sound has another tempo than the real eroica

  • bravo^^

  • I don't know if it's the orchestra or the acoustics because I hear less of the percussions.

Also that there is no feeling in the music.

  • the harp's tremelo is not fine enough. cello and violin pitz are not in unison . timpani'scounting is completely off and the whole piece requres more dynamic variations. you guys play it without expression.listen to the recording by the hong kong chinese orchestra. but seriously this is not even considered as music.

  • Ya!It`s not good.(I mean the music itself, not the performance.)You will wonder why"譚盾"that guy so famous in China? His work is common or even boring!!!!!

  • It's so bad

  • perhaps they were trying to make it more dramatic?

  • its a good attempt =) but i kinda feel that the song gets faster and faster, n i dun like the feeling x.x not relaxing, although yeahs, not much of tuning and rhythm prob! =D

and omg at 0.30, timpani x.x no offence but wahs, tats totally FAR from how its supposed to sound like! jiayous ppl! =D

  • absolutely fantastic

  • wait, ...isn't this a LSO song?! @.@;

  • -.- ..you guys are soo mean!!!

    <333 i thought it was beautiful!!! ^.^

  • The french horn section had some cute girls.

  • not sure about the music, but i see a handful of cute girls there!

  • this was very good, but a little sloppy, but otherwise it was pretty good..

tan dun, wow he was just amazing with his orchestra performance!!!

  • this is awesome! screw all of u who say otherwise!

  • You should not criticize music that way. Please point out the bad points of the music, instead of merely vituperation.

  • Give our countrymen in Taiwan some encouragement

  • It lacks instruments.... : /

  • that was not even sight read! god....

  • WAAAAAAAAY TO FAST

  • I dun really like this.. Kinda messy..

Although the Trumpet Solo was satisfactory enough..

  • The worst plaing!

  • al principio esta demasiado rapido!

  • i meant the "composer's" interpretation ...

  • watch the vedio of the composurer's interpretation on this piece in his own words.

you'll have a better appreciation of where he's coming from.

i certain like this piece much better after viewing that vedio.

  • Oh wow! This is very good! ^__^ I love this song so much.

    Why?

  • lol this conductor is not as ''energetic'' then tan dun

  • it's supposed to be like that dumbo (response to chunhaotan)

  • The start wasn't together at all!!! I must say that the ending was a bit of a rush. But i think i like it! Brings out the whole mood!!!

  • Like the song at the beginning and end of

  • Not togather at the beginning! once more.

  • It's supposed to not be together. It gives it more of a traditional, oriental feel.

The reason it's different for the YTSO is because it was re-arranged by Tan-Dun to make it more modern.

  • yup

  • watching and listening tothis gives me chills specially at... 3:24 - 3:32 *shivers* beautiful T_T_T_T_T_T!!!!!

  • oh and adding to that,3:50 to the end is just amazing T_T

  • agree..... so beautiful

  • agreed

  • Is it just me, or are you missing some instruments?

  • The Competition is not open to residents of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Myanmar/Burma, Syria, Zimbabwe and any other U.S. sanctioned country.

    Patético

  • CORRECTION!

its bar 112 of tan dun's contrabass score =)

this band skipped tt part. .

  • Dude,this and tan dun's score,the part around 122 or somewhere,there's a part missing,i'm using tan dun's cantrabass score,and i don't think i counted wrongly,so,can someone tell me whose's wrong or smth? cause tan dun's conducting hard to follow,so i came to this vid =.=

  • its only some pieces of "eastern materials"put together.......

maybe western people would feel fresh but i must say:[Not good!]

  • London symphony Orchestra I prefer more. The trumpet isn't as clear.

  • I feel that this piece is executed very cleanly. too clean until it sounds a little unsatisfactory.

The cellos and violas couldnt be heard independently. This symphony places quite abit of emphasis an percussion. I did not quite like the dry tubular bells. and somehow, the gong chimes were out of tune.

This orchestra sounds the best one could get out from a gathering of a mix of professional and amateur players without any thorough rehearsal. They were not together.

    But good job anyways. =)

  • is this one of the part adapted from ludwig's eroica? or this is just composed differently by tang dun?

  • yes it is adapted. he said that he was inspired by the music played during the beijing olympics and in the music he was somehow able to hear traces of beethoven and he just had to write this piece.

  • This version is cleaner and very nice, but what I don't like is that you can't hear the cello part at ALL. (I play cello)

And I was a little confused with how they have the cellos where the violas usually are. Might that have something to do with not hearing them? (I don't know)

But on a lighter note, you can actually hear the violas in this! :D

  • orchestras arnt always set up in the same order, its usually up to the conductors discretion

  • This is serious work, not play

  • wonderful "Eroica"

  • GREAT.

  • I love the trumpet solo. His sound's so warm. =]

  • this piece is AMAZING! one of those weirdly eerily amazing ones! I love it!

  • nice try~

but I find that LSO is much better

  • It is the most excellent musc there is! Fantastic. So happy you can share this with us. Fabulous! Bravo...

    Michael

  • fabulous!

  • I like this one better than the London Symphony. I can hear the strings better on this.

  • I agree with you its more clean

  • The flute part on this is insane!

    lol

    but i LOVE it!

  • oh !! i realllllly like it

  • It is great! I like it !

  • Is Fantastic. I like it!!! Stupendaaaa

  • Tan Dun ♥♥

(you can try even higher quality in HD next time.)

  • love
