I was an airline pilot for a good many years and I have to say, your impression of the Flight Attendant was pretty dang good! I have to hand it to them though, their job is not all glitz and glamour. Most people don't see the training that they go through to do their job. They aren't sky waiters, they really are there for your safety. I guess Well that and to GET MY COFFEE!

It's unfortunate that they have to do both honestly. Because obviously everyone hopes that there won't be any need for safety measures so most of the time, flight attendants do mostly serve beverages.

I think that makes them angry. Like when I waited tables in between jobs after college. There's a whole "this is not my real job" aspect that breeds bitterness. I was the most annoying server ever then. "I'm actually a reporter, I'm just waiting to break into this market." Ugh.
