I was in high school when P came out. That's all you heard in dudes cars when they rolled by. Either it was Master P or Tupac. But they bumped the hell out of Master P. At least that "keep it hood" attitude is real. As far as I'm concerned, quality hip hop died in the 90's. A Tribe Called Quest, de la Soul, Nine, ya know, REAL hip hop. Some of it was just about struggle, not just gangster shit. But it was innovative and real. These studio gangsters only talk about how much money they have and, to be honest, it's fuckin boring.

Master P is a smart man. He invested well in his career still the only one in label history that did it without a deal to the majors back in 90's. This man is smart and to me is the Gene Simmons of Hip Hop.
