@EdWeezey if your talking about were it displays the name of the system at 0:58. then in that case you have a ps3 slim model. those model just skip the playstation 3 logo and go sight to the game. the organl ps3. (one in this video) displays it. but if you do have the ps3 (fat) and it dosnt do that then i have no idea

I have a xbox 360 and a sdtv, i use the components and set it to regular tv. it looks great, I will be getting a playstation 3 60gb to play killzone and then buy killzone 2. my question is, can i do the same thing with the ps3 by using components cables on a sdtv and setting it to 480i? will it still play blu-ray?

im a poor college kid living a small studio-dorm with a 480i 27" flat screen tube with built in sdtv. I may not have the fancy 1080p hdtv's, but I do have a logitech z-5500 sound system to make up for it and they sound amazing for video games! I have it hook up with my tv via digital coaxial for 5.1 audio for sdtv, on my wii via analog for pro logic sound, and xbox 360 via optical for dolby digital and dts. soon my future ps3 will be part of it.

when i start the game it says u have to downlad something and when it dous it says the online dous not work and it says to click yes to play without online and no when you press no the game quits. i pressed yes and then it load, the louding icon came and it said you need full hd and when it was done louding it was a blank screen, and i bought this game today p.s: what is hdcp?

yes, actually there is a problem with it. Without HD, you can not pick out each and every detail of a game. SD makes it harder to see things. you are simply a better gamer if you are playing with a clear picture.

console gaming on an sd tv is not an issue, it's perfectly fine and you can thoroughly enjoy your game regardless of the minor set backs. besides you miss the point, NOT everyone can afford an HD set up....i played on sd for about a year before i got HD....it's perfectly fine for the time being.

guys the graphics are still amazing, besides its a smaller tv so you dont need HD. On a bigger like a 50" (like my TV downstairs that i cant use because people are always on) the pixels spread out more so you need more resolution to make it look better, to get the pixels nice and tight again. Get it right guys, between this and a 50" Plasma HD there is very very slight differences.

Yes, U can change it in the settings. The display settings and sound settings are separate. And the outputs are independant. U can hav audio out the digital optical nd video out the component breakout cable (tht comes with the PS3).

Ir as U want, video out the HDMI, nd ousdio out the component!

These are formats of TV broadcasts in most countries.

720p is where it gets interesting as as 720p screen can handle 1080i.

It is an all in 1 tv. I have HD component cables but I use them on the other 1080i tv that is 16:9. I am currently using A/V cables.

well, you dont have to have a 40" tv. but get a dell moniter 21" pc screen for under 500$. it has 720p built into it. or get a tobishiba 26" crt tv, has 1080i and 720p
