Free trade did not destroy the workforce. That is simply not true. Trade always increases the size of economies. It's one of the few real truisms of economics.
It's also unfair to maintain a grudge against entire countries for things their leaders did 70 years ago. That's like blaming all modern white people for slavery in the 1800s.
