Great dunk. I would also point out Clyde's quick first step going around MJ at the beginning of that clip. People have so mythologized MJ that today you'd think nobody ever went around him or beat him off the dribble. It's as if he absolutely shut down everybody who played against him on every play. Great players are never shut down, even by other great players.

However, I have run into people who seem to think MJ never missed a shot and shut down everyone he ever faced. I've actually seen people write that "MJ dominated Clyde every single time they played" which is simply not true. It's almost as bad as Kobe lovers who claim Bryant is better than MJ simply because he plays today and MJ played in the 80's. Of course, they're probably the reason some MJ fans are so fanatical.

anyone who watched this finals series can see how often Jordan was made to look ordinary when going up against somene like drexler who had the offensive skills to attack him. yeah the Bulls won and Jordan probably got the better of Clyde, but still a rare sight to see Jordan out matched on so many occasions during this series. Problem was there wasnt enough players like Clyde during the Jordan era to stick it to him. btw MJ and Clyde were my heroes growing up.

During the 1991 season, he shot 59% against Michael in two games, averaging 29.5 points, which was 8 above his average that year. In 1992, he averaged 32 ppg in the regular season against MJ, which was 7 ppg above his average that year.

Even in the Finals, Clyde still averaged 25 ppg.

That's not what I would call shutting him down.
