Waylon wrote it. But this is not a new version. It came out in 1981. It was just remastered and some instruments were added to the original 1967 - 1969 recording.

Anyone who likes this song hasn't really heard it till they buy Waylon Jennings Live CD he recorded in Texas in 1974. I think it was orininal released in 1976 . I think the CD is just called "Waylon Live" - But I'll warn you once you here it on there you won't like to watch this movie as much... and I love Elvis!!
