in the King's Bishop over 7f, and a win over Jackson Bend in the Kelso over a mile read as the kind of resume' to be an odd's on favorite for a BC Classic? This horse should've been pointed for the BC Dirt Mile all along. A race he would've very likely dominated. JMO.
As lightly raced as he still is, I think Uncle Mo still has a lot of unseen potential. But that said, I think Mo is the biggest lay of the entire Breeders Cup meet. Nothing in his pedigree, or what I've seen out of him on the track suggest to me that he'll get the 1-1/4 in the Classic. I thought it was laughable he was made morning line favorite for the Classic with a # of horses in the field that are proven G1 winners at 1-1/4. Since when does a 2nd place finish to Caleb's Posse in the>>CONTD>>
I only doubt if he can go the mile and a quarter; time alone will tell.
I really don't think the spacing will be that much of a probem. He's got a good amount of time until the BC Classic, and coming off this run, he looks to be in ship shape.
I'll be there at the Classic, and cheering so loud I might as well go deaf.
If there's one horse I want to win that race, it's Mo. <3
Uncle Mo remind me of her sister Indian Blessing. She won the G1 Breeders'Cup Juvenile Fillies by many lenghts over a sloppy track at Monmouth Park. Indian Charlies progeny perform huge on off tracks. I certainly don’t think UNCLE MO will handle a mile and a quarter. I'm not sold on this horse yet. He’s already fired his best shot and he will bounce in the Breeders’ Cup Classic.
Uncle Mo is getting back to his best. Beating an older G1 champ like Jackson Bend was really impressive, not to mention clocking under 1:34 in the mud. For people who say this year's 3 yr old crop is weak, only have to watch Uncle Mo gradually find his stride. If he didn't get ill before the Derby, he would have been winning consecutive G1's with no problem.
It was a sealed tract first of all, meaning it was actually playing faster than a "fast track". And that was one of the weakest G2 fields that have been put into a four horse race in a while. You think he can beat the older horses like Tizway in the classic?
@rpb15007 Well, Jackson Bend has won a G1 this season, so I wouldn't call him "weak", and I'm not sure if Uncle Mo will beat Tizway - actually I'm not sure if either can stay 10f. Tizway seems a surer bet after handling two turns at the Whitney and I'd like him to win it like his sire, but if Uncle Mo handles the distance, the lesser weight might help him. There's also Havre de Grace of course.
I have heard a muddy track that is sealed is a fast track.....defies logic except if you think about a beach, the wet sand is much easier to run on, that the dry sand.

Mike Repole, and Todd Pletcher will have their bubbles bursted when Mo doesn't finish better then 5th in the Classic. The MOST over hyped horse.

Official time was 1:33.82 for the mile on a muddy track; good run out with no laboring; next stop is the Breeders Cup Classic.
