Ho man! I love the video. (Well I'm a big fan of the movie anyway). I wouldn't have thought this pairing of Britney and Sirk would be good. But I enjoyed it. And Dorothy Malone is hot hot hot! (Great plaid blouse too!)

Right before Robert Stack slaps Dorothy Malone, she closes her eyes in anticipation of the slap, which I'm sure she couldn't stop herself from doing, but which she shouldn't have done. But this is the kind of thing audiences couldn't really see quickly enough to comprehend, while watching in a theater. Since the '80s, however, we've been able to freeze-frame movies to see such things. And now, we can even do our own re-edits and music videos too.

I just caught this on a big screen, and it looks like Marylee could see the slap coming just before she closes her eyes, which would justify the action, character-wise. I love Malone so much in this film, I'll think of anything to support her work (as in "Maybe Marylee's so used to her brother hitting her, she knew it was coming," or "Perhaps she got a splitting headache a second before he hit her, so she closed her eyes due to this unrelated pain").

I thought the lyrics and music matched up well with images from the film. I kept visualizing the movie when I heard the song, so I wanted to combine the two.
