I love Stormy Monday Blues, great classic, you do a fine job, congratulations! AND you might consider crediting it's actual author, T-Bone Walker (Clapton and Moore may have covered it well, but they did not write it.)
Thanks :) I have formed a new Hard Rockin Blues Unsigned Band. We have our first gig a week on Sunday, where we will be playing our original material! :)
i recomend texas specials. i play them through a fender blues delux amp and i cant ask for a better sound. REALLY glassy, i go for the srv tone with tones of reverb and hudge strings, but is sounds awesome through an 808 tubescreamer. Love themblues brother!
I've tried them before, didnt really like them. Even tho I love SRV's style, its not my style. If you get chance to have a look at the Gary Moore - Red House video, his strat just sounds f*cking awesome! Thats More my style/sound. Cheers tho :)
Cheers man :) Yea original 85' Jap factory pickups..tho they have been retired now, I need to find some new ballsy pickups. Yea, its a Fender HotRod Deluxe also :D
Ok, I just wanna say I rarely comment on videos but I fell across this one and I have to. I'm 25 yrs old and I grew up listening to everything, but the first songs that hooked me deeply on blues were "Texas Flood" and "Stormy Monday Blues." And this is one of the best heart wrenching versions I've heard/seen. I would pay a lot of money to see this guy play this live in a small, smoky bar with hardly any people in it; just so I could get that same feeling I felt when I first heard the blues.
I could give a rat's ass about the looks.(and nothing is wrong with his looks anyway) It's all in the music, and very well done here. Nice post Nick, thanks.
I know i aint no George Clooney or what have you, but shouldnt I play in what ever I feel comfortable in??? I'm not a tribute show, so dont need to where hendrix afro wigs, or where a bbking suit or wotever. I feel comfortable playing in jeans.
Can't say it enough mate, after watching your videos. Brilliant! Apart from your version of Red House this is the next best! Great feeling and tone. I know your singing aint your strongest attribute, but your getting there after seeing your first vids from 2006. Great stuff! John
Yes, That's some of the best guitar stuff I've heard on Stormy Mon....Very cool..Joseph

What's great is that you can see Robert has a passion with his playing. I like that. Keep it up guy.
