@sir4224 Getting them on itself doesn't really hurt, but they usually get really sorry AFTER because the braces are pushing and pulling and applying all kinds of pressure all over the place. Make sure to get prepared by buying some really nice soft foods(I suggest instant noodles:)) and painkillers. The the pain should mostly go away in a few days though.
